So well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. Even provided dish washer tablets for the dishwasher. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay and would definitely recommend Hedgehog Cottage for a perfect holiday.

  • "Great holiday home in a secluded area."

Nice to have a bar, gym and plunge pool/jacuzzi on site (although we did not use them). Home did not have a washing machine but there was a laundry onsite (although a wash and tumble dry cost approx £10 which was a bit steep!). Master bedroom had a double bed and second bedroom was a twin. The kitchen was well equipped but there was very limited space available for storing food/provisions. Dishwasher/oven/fridge-freezer were clean, as was whole house. There was an issue with the TV, which had obviously been reported to the owner by the previous occupant, as I received a call from the owner. She offered to provide another TV from a friend, however I deduced that the issue was with the remote control, rather than the TV itself. I passed this on to the owner and she very quickly organised a suitable replacement to be provided. Not really an issue as we brought an Amazon Fire TV stick with us which got around the immediate issue (after we took the batteries out of the duff remote control). This demonstrated the owner's desire for good customer service. Overall, I would certainly stay here again. Overall cost for the week was reasonable.

Thank you for your kind comments and understanding over the problem with the TV. Your help in the matter was really appreciated. The comment concerning the cost of the central laundry facility is being passed to the site administration for their consideration and your suggestion concerning the cupboard storage space for provisions has been noted; we intend to give this our attention at the end of the season. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "So well equipped there was no cupboard space to store food that couldn't go in the fridge."

The request for the twin beds to be set up as a king size was not actioned so we did it ourselves. Other than that this cottage is fantastic. Its our third visit to Pendra Loweth but our first to Hedgehog and we've already booked this cottage again for same week next year. Hope we get the same weather.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay at our cottage and we apologise that the beds were not set up as you expected. Unfortunately, neither the housekeeper nor ourselves had been advised of your request. Your observation on the kitchen cupboards has been noted and a revision of the space available will be given consideration. We look forward to welcoming you back next year. Mr & Mrs M, owners. Everything we needed was provided and more. Only ten minutes from a beautiful beach and perfect base for exploring surrounding resorts such as St. Michael's Mount etc. The onsite bar/cafe provided good reasonably priced food with friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely like to come again ☆☆☆☆☆

  • "Way too expensive, think we got robbed by the supply and demand due to COVID staycations and I think Sykes overly monopolised on this, place was tired and needs an overhaul, beds, sofas chairs etc are not comfy and for nearly three grand for two weeks I expected way better."

Kitchen cupboards are full of too much useless crockery leaving no room for food. Has a dishwasher we never used and would benefit from a washing machine. No BBQ facilities and outdoor furniture is junk, snapped lats on one of the rickety wooden chairs. Very old TV, not a smart TV so no streaming. DVD player but no DVDs, VHS video player (yes really) but no VHS tapes to play. The small fridge was missing parts which gave it even less shelf room and the back shelf that was there was broken and a bit manky. No way near worth the money we paid.

Thank you  for your feedback. The prices do fluctuate throughout the year based on the request of the market and are variable. Regarding the property, the owners had it recently painted both on the inside and on the outside. The preference for mattress and sofas if very personal and no one else has reported this issue before but the owners will look into this and see if anything can be improved even further. For the kitchen crockery the owners made sure that guests will always have enough of each so they provided full sets for each type and sometimes even more. With the provided dishwasher and tablets it's easy to use multiple items per day without having to worry about the dishes. The property does not advertised having a washing machine, BBQ or Smart TV. There is a laundry on site that can be used by all guests. The DVDs and VHSs had to be removed from the property due to covid cleaning guidelines and you have been informed before about it before your arrival and it is also mentioned in the guests booklet present at the property. The owners apologise for the restricted garden furniture in line with the note that was left inside the property. New furniture will be provided as soon as possible. In regards of the fridge, the issue has not been reported before but the housekeeper will check in the next changeover and change the shelf if necessary.    Property Owner

  • "Holiday Estate is quiet, and nicely laid out but access to it is via very narrow roads with sharp bends."

at busier times of the year (school summer holidays) this could be a problem with the volume of traffic. Didn't use any of the facilities at the centre so can't comment on these. The info in the cottage gives details of a walk to the beach indicating it is a 20 min stroll - took 50 mins and we are fast walkers. it wasn't the closest beach either - but probably a safer walk. Reasonably easy to get out to visit places - so long as you don't mind single track roads.

  • "Hedgehog Cottage is a perfect choice for a couple or small family."

It was extremely clean, very well equipped, a comfortable bed with good quality linen, and had lots of charming touches. It was lovely to find a courtesy tray of tea, coffee and biscuits, plus milk in the fridge, on arrival. Most of all, Hedgehog Cottage had a homely feel. Pendra Loweth, though a ‘holiday park’, is beautifully landscaped, very well kept and spacious. We didn’t visit the club, but it was good to see people sitting outside, enjoying the sun and a beer. It’s very near to Falmouth and the beaches and a short drive to many other beauty spots. The booking process was easy and communication with Sykes was clear and timely. After many weeks of lockup, we needed a break. And this was just what we needed.

The property

A restful home-from-home in a quiet corner of the Village of Gardens at Pendra Loweth, Hedgehog Cottage is just a short drive from the popular maritime town of Falmouth.

A purpose built village of holiday homes, Pendra Loweth is a great choice for young families, with onsite all-weather tennis courts, a splash pool, shared lawns and a children’s playground.

Hedgehog Cottage sits at the end of a terrace, a stone’s throw from the tennis courts, overlooking a babbling stream and the footpath which leads down to Maenporth beach.

On the ground floor, a modern kitchen leads into an open plan lounge/dining area - from where, French doors open out on to a private terrace which catches the afternoon sun each day.

Upstairs, two comfortable bedrooms provide plenty of space and storage; the second of which can be presented as either a king size bed or twin beds, affording flexibility for couples or friends looking to holiday together.

Out and about, the North Helford offers a combination of beach, valley and creekside adventures; discover hidden hamlets, riverside inns, sub-tropical gardens and plenty of opportunities to get out on the water.

Quirky Falmouth has an eclectic range of shops as well as some excellent restaurants and a colourful marina where hours can be spent just watching the world go by.

Falmouth is also home to the National Maritime Museum, a good option for a rainy day.

A fantastic base for exploring this popular visitor destination, Hedgehog Cottage is ideal for those seeking a well-placed, relaxing family holiday.
