  • "Beautiful site with lovely gardens and property is generally well maintained and easy to use."

    However, main bed is very uncomfortable with lumps and bumps so could do with changing. We ended up sleeping separately due to the main bed being so bad. Sofa’s are also completely sunken in the middle and past their best.

    Lent bedding and towels. Very well equipped kitchen. Small freezer.. Please note outside lights not working. Rear hob of cooker shorts out the electrics.. Good stay

  • "We had a lovely stay and used the place as a base for exploring Cornwall further."

    The cottage was clean, the kids surfboards & sand kits provided was a bonus. We could enjoy invigorating morning walks up the surrounding hills. A few nice beaches were also within walking distance. Would be great if mirrors could be placed at a couple of sharp, narrow bends leading to Loweth Pendrah, to herald oncoming traffic. We had to reverse several times while driving to/away as the roads were just too narrow and obscure.

  • "We had a fabulous holiday, the house was well equipped, spacious and just what we needed."

    The setting was beautiful and the grounds so well maintained. I would like you to pass on my apologies to the cleaning team if possible. Due to the stormy weather we left on Friday evening rather than Saturday as planned. Whilst tidy, I did leave the dishwasher to empty and the grill pan to clean as we just ran out of time and needed to get away. I don’t like doing that!

  • "This is a very well equipped cottage in a quiet and peaceful location."

    On site staff are friendly and very helpful. The only downside to the holiday was there being no local dog friendly beaches with facilities and meant we had to travel towards Newquay and surrounding areas, for beaches that were dog friendly and had other facilities for children toilet, cafe etc - we were a family of four, two adults two children and a small dog. Overall we had a lovely time, weather was brilliant as was the cottage. This said, I would not return to this cottage, due to the location of suitable beaches and communal gardens, both of which were not suitable for a family with a dog.

    “** Owner Response - We, and our children and grandchildren have often holidayed at the Village of Gardens along with our dogs and have always found it have always found it to work well for us, plenty for the children to do with the plunge pool, restaurant for ice-creams and tennis courts. In high summer it can be tricky to have our furry friends out in the sun for too long; there are lots of lovely coastal walks which can be enjoyed and a trip to the Helford region can satisfy the need to get paws sandy with both Grebe and Durgan beaches welcoming dogs in the summer. Ist October - Easter almost all the beaches in Cornwall welcome dogs. Property Owner

    Excellent bar / restaurant, pool and gym area for everyone onsite to use. Internet connection good, as I am self employed and need to keep up to date with my business. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived.

The property

Positioned in the centre of a group of purpose built holiday cottages at the Village of Gardens near Maenporth, Falmouth.

This delightful, modern self-catering property is an ideal family choice with many onsite facilities.

Manuka has a light and airy style with open plan living area with patio doors to the front patio.

There is a dining area and kitchen with useful breakfast bar for informal meals.

The first floor bedrooms have shared use of a family bathroom.

Outside a south facing patio is screened to one side and looks across to the well-tended communal gardens where children can happily play whilst parents relax on garden furniture.

Onsite facilities include tennis courts, children's outdoor play areas, Jacuzzi and an indoor splash pool (seasonal opening hours apply to faciltiies).

The nearby beaches of Swanpool and Maenporth are ideal for family beach days.

Take your pick of a variety of watersports on offer at Swanpool, where tuition is also available.

The popular resort and harbour town of Falmouth is a 10 minute drive where you will find a wealth of great eateries to suit all tastes.

Visit the National Maritime Museum or step back in time at Pendennis Castle, one of England's finest surviving fortresses.

Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views.
