  • "Note to owner: We saw there was a small chip on a glass from the cupboard, so we put to one side on the worksurface so it was seen on our departure."

The house was clean, fabulously easy to use. As this is a repeat trip we have enjoyed Owl’s Roost hugely and are due back in March! The owls did you proud singing as we walked in the evening enjoying their company. Thank you

Thank you for your kind feedback and for informing me of the chipped glass. I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Owl's Roost. I look forward to welcoming you back in March. Hopefully a little warmer by then. Nicola Property Owner

  • "The cottage smells of dog, the bathroom shower head was filthy with limescale."

And the washing machine was unusable, stank of mould and had not been cleaned in a long time. The cookers labels had all been rubbed of so had no idea how to use it, and the beds were hard and uncomfortable.

I am so sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your stay at Owl’s Roost. I am saddened to learn that you did not contact our housekeeper with your issues (as stated in our welcome pack) as she would have been more than happy to assist you. The cottage is advertised as a ‘dog friendly’ cottage, however, our cleaning programme does account for this and I am sorry that on this occasion you were aware of a dog smell. I have checked with my housekeeper, who confirmed that the shower head had been cleaned prior to your visit. The washing machine has been cleaned, however, if it has not been used or aired recently this may have accounted for the smell you encountered. The cooker labels were replaced by myself on my last visit in April and my housekeeper has sent me photos which confirm they are still intact. The comfort of the beds, is of personal preference and previous reviews received for Owl’s Roost comment a ‘comfortable stay’. Property Owner

  • "Lovely accommodation very clean which met all our expectations."

A couple of issues that need to be addressed, there is a need for additional knives and forks - only 4 available. Property was very cold when we arrived, economy 7 heating had not been turned on the day before to allow the storage heaters to charge up. This heating takes 24 hrs to get warm . Portable electric Convector heater had been hidden in the understand cupboard and was only found 2 days later. It would have been helpful if this had been put out and plugged in to provide some heating for our arrival. This is needed in the winter months to provide a warm welcome. One of the 2 storage heaters in the living area is disconnected so the remaining heater is insufficient for such a large room. These issues would not put us of from a return visit and look forward to a revisit in the summer of 2022.

Thank you for your feedback, this is greatly appreciated. All points raised will be addressed for future comfort for our guests. Unfortunately, we have had to disconnect one of the heaters in the living room as it is so close to one of the sofas which is why we have provided a free-standing heater for additional warmth. I am pleased you enjoyed the rest of your stay and look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "The house was exactly as described."

Beds were comfortable and all linen/towels provided. You do need a car to get around in falmouth/penryn as there a no pavements for a lot of the time. Phone signal is sketchy at best however the WiFi was really good. Would visit owls roost again.

  • "The house was very nice."

The only points I would like raise would be: 1. The fridge was very small and freezer would not freeze anything. We bought the children some ice cream which all melted. 2. Both the vacuums worked well however they need cleaning in some way as they really smell when used. Other than these points we had a lovely stay. The house is very well equipped and very clean. We would definitely stay again.

Thank you so much for your valued feedback and I am so sorry about the issues raised. These will be rectified as soon as possible. I do hope they did not impact on your enjoyment too much and I hope we will see you again'. Property Owner

This light and airy terraced cottage provides comfortable accommodation within the Village of Gardens, Pendra Loweth, just 3 miles from Falmouth.

Pendra Loweth is a purpose built village of privately owned self-catering holiday cottages.

This property has garden views and is set in a quiet spot just along from the tennis courts.

The onsite facilities also include a gym, children's outdoor play area and an indoor plunge pool (seasonal opening hours) making this perfect for families as well as the Village terrace which is a great place to relax and enjoy refreshments.

The ground floor of the cottage is an open plan living area with well equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting area, plus a cloakroom.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms a twin and a double plus a family bathroom.

Double doors lead from the living area out onto the gardens which are paved and there is a communal lawned area.

Swanpool is popular for the sand and swimming while Maenporth is a little more relaxed but equally as special; both offer fantastic restaurants and sandy shores so you really are spoilt for choice.

North Helford and Falmouth are perhaps the quintessential Cornish visitor destinations; a mix of beach, creek and woodland serve some of our most interesting and historic villages and towns.

Falmouth itself is home to the National Maritime Museum, visitors will enjoy an amble through the narrow streets and possibly a boat trip across the River Fal or up the river towards Truro.

Perfectly situated to discover all of Cornwall's fascinating history, Owl's Roost is an ideal spot for all year round.
