“The area and attractions were just amazing, the beaches and facilities were fantastic.”

Sea shanty was nice, open planned, newly carpeted and had an abundance of little things that just caterered for the visitors who flew to the destination and who otherwise would have brought thier own supplies etc ie, sachets of tea, coffee, sugar, just enough to make a welcome cuppa, as well as all manner of crockery and utensils, and a large host of maps, books, games, films, to inform and entertain guests, the dishwasher is a clever addition, but we only used it once, but family's would benefit greatly from it. On the downside however we found Sea Shanty to be dirty, and in need of a deep clean, it was evident it had been cleaned prior to our arrival, new bedding and towels, and hoovered, but in the downstairs toilet there was bits of hair / stubble all over the sink (obviously following a man having a shave) there were many spiders and cobwebs through the property, and the White painted shelf at kitchen / living room area was covered in dust (enough you could draw and see what had been drawn) The external patio area was nice and sunny (given this, a parasol would have been nice) but we did not spend any time there, due to the fact it was literally moving with ants. So very much a mixed review from us, we hope the cons are addressed before they become an issue to future guests, and that the pros are noted as being greatly apprieciated.

The property

A fifteen minute walk to the beach from your cottage will mean that you can park your car and enjoy Cornwall by foot.

As a modern holiday cottage, Sea Shanty offers an open plan sitting room on the ground floor where the family can gather, socialise and relax.

Upstairs, there are three well presented bedrooms comprising two doubles and a twin which share a family bathroom.

To the rear of the property is a sunny patio backed by shared green space.

There is an allocated parking space plus visitor parking nearby.

Falmouth is roughly ten minutes in the car with its great range of shops, eateries, bars and galleries.

The Lizard peninsula is a little over twenty minutes drive from Pendra Loweth and offers an insight in to the more rugged side of Cornwall with craggy rocks and hidden coves.
