The cottage was equipped with everything we needed, was bright , comfortable and clean . We will definitely be back at tamarisk cottage next year, hopefully for a 2 week stay , if our holiday dates are available, thankyou so much the Turner family for a wonderful time. And many thanks to Sykes for making the booking and keeping us updated on our holiday Kind regards Mr j Malcolm.

  • "This was my 4th stay at Tamarisk Not sure about returning as the settee/sofa is so uncomfortable and really broken in part, the scatter cushions are not very nice."

I'm sorry to say both or the above are past their use by date, a shame because the location is ideal.

  • "We had an amazing holiday in Cornwall."

The house was great - comfy sofa, decent kitchen with washing machine and the communal garden and outside table were good too. Good kitchen facilities including a coffee machine and some teas, coffees, and a milk were kindly left for us as a nice touch! We didn’t use the facilities on site as the pool was empty (and tiny), but we preferred to go to the beach anyway. The house is roughly 2 miles from the beach so we drove down as we have young children - we found free parking nearby on the road quite easily. The local beaches are really nice and we were able to take our paddleboard out every day. Falmouth is a god location for exploring other parts of Cornwall too if you have a car - Eden Project, Lands End, St Michael’s Mount all roughly an hours drive.

A dust pan and brush would be good Otherwise would still visit again

  • "We had a lovely week here with our two Poochon dogs."

They loved it. Plenty of local walks and only a short drive to beaches. The cottage has everything you need in it. The beds were comfy and the shower was nice and powerful enough. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare and cook meals. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

  • "The cottage was lovely and we had a great time."

It was spacious enough for 2 adults, a teenager and a young child to not be on top of each other all the time. However, the internet connection wasn't great and often cut out altogether, although it usually came back on reasonably quickly. The site was attractive and we didn't feel the need to talk to anyone else, which suited us perfectly.

  • "Comfortable well spaced accommodation, well equipped, nicely furnished on a very pleasantly laid out site."

Very enjoyable stay The only niggle was that email instructions received from Cornish Cottages were to vacate on departure day by 10am. When we arrived Housekeeper instructions said to vacate by 9am ! Also, there was no laundry bag supplied by the Housekeeper team in which to put used bed linens, towels and tea-towels.

  • "We appreciate this is a pet friendly holiday cottage, but we did not expect to find pet hairs all over the lounge suite and floor mats."

We had to use the vacuum cleaner to try and remove the hairs before we could sit down in the lounge area, which was not a great start to our holiday. The main bedroom duvet cover wasn't big enough for the size of the bed, it didn't even cover the mattress fully (unlike the photo on the internet). The duvet had been squashed inside the cover and was bulky in places which made it very uncomfortable for sleeping. The TV in the lounge kept defaulting to the set up program when we switched it on and every time it had to go through the set up procedure and re tune all stations, which was very annoying.

  • "I book my holidays through sykes as the locations i look for are dog friendly my dogs are part of my family."

This resort claims to be dog friendly but i found the amount of signs everywhere saying no dog fouling and dogs to be kept on leads a bit over the top making me feel that the dogs shouldn't be there, i understand dog cleanliness and control abd i respect that, i am a responsible owner and clean up after my dogs but there was nowhere on site to take the dogs for their morning and evening toileting, (we were out all day every day with them). The property was ok apart from it being a bit dirty, dishwasher full of dirty dishes from the previous visitors and very uncomfortable beds. The other thing was to use the patio or even open the patio doors we again had to have the dogs on leads as every back garden area is communal and leads out to a grass area which dogs can't use. I would not recommend this resort for dog owners and sadly will not book again there.

  • "It was a very enjoyable holiday in a well equipped clean house."

Our only issue was a poor, sometimes non-existent WiFi connection which, when you have a 2 year old child screaming because they can't watch their favourite program on iPlayer, is frustrating. (There was no phone reception so WiFi was the only option)

  • "We had a lovely stay in Tamarisk cottage in July."

The property is surrounded by very well maintained gardens and a lawn out the back to play with the children in the sun while getting the bbq ready. There is a small pool, bar serving food and hot tub on site which were perfect for us. The beaches were a couple of minutes drive away with loads of parking in town as are supermarkets. The local shops in town are great and a train ride to st Ives is very convienient and cheap. A great place to stay, lovely accommodation and well placed, We would use it again.

  • "Tamarisk cottage is a lovely house in pleasant and quiet surroundings."

The kitchen is well-equipped and the living-room is spacious and nice to watch TV or read a book. There's a second TV-set in one of the bedrooms. There's only one thing we would like to 'criticize': the hot water boiler upstairs makes a lot of noise, which could be a problem for people sleeping in the second bedroom. Pendra Loweth is not too far from central Falmouth (about two miles), where the supermarkets are situated. We would certainly recommend this cottage to everyone !

  • "We were pleasantly surprised at the home from home comfort offered at Tamarisk Cottage."

There was a lovely big corner sofa to relax on in the evenings, and the double bed was the most comfortable I have experienced in any accommodation away from home. The cottage kitchen was very well equipped, and we enjoyed playing some board games as a family - something we don’t do nearly enough of usually. The patio and bbq would have been lovely to use at a warmer time of year too. All in all a very welcoming and well thought out accommodation.
