The property

With wonderful, panoramic views across Mount's Bay and iconic St Michael's Mount, Shellseekers is located within easy walking distance of Marazion's inns, restaurants, galleries and shops.

Step straight into the sitting room of this traditional cottage and immediately you feel at home.

A lovely feature of this room, a large stone fireplace creates a cosy space in which to huddle round in winter.

The split-level kitchen/diner has a sunny aspect and leads out in to a small sun room, a lovely place to sit and rest a while whilst taking in the views.

Upstairs, there are two compact but comfortable bedrooms, one overlooking the garden and the lovely view beyond.

The pretty, enclosed south-facing garden is well-maintained and a real suntrap; a wonderful spot to enjoy a barbecue or evening tipple as the sun sets behind the Mount.

When you are ready to explore, the popular seaside town of Marazion has it all; numerous good inns and restaurants including The Godolphin Arms and Ben's Cornish Kitchen, a handful of shops and several galleries.

The beach at Marazion offers excellent windsurfing conditions and rock pools to explore at low tide; you can also cross the causeway to the Mount from the beach at low tide (a small ferry will transport you across at high tide).

The Mount, managed by the National Trust, is home to a small harbour, several cafes and of course, the castle itself, surrounded by beautifully-kept sub-tropical gardens.

Further afield, the bustling town of Penzance is home to a seawater Art Deco lido, and St Ives is perfect for a day of browsing quirky shops before enjoying a bag of piping hot chips by the harbour (watch for seagulls!).
