"The property was perfectly placed."
It was very clean and well equipped. We had 4 little ones and the main room was very spacious. Perfect for them to run around. There were two fridges and a wine fridge. There were plenty of plates and cooking utensils All very important for so many people. Mawgan Porth is a beautiful little town. The local shop sells everything you could need. The beach is fabulous and very safe for the little ones. We would definitely go back

"The house is fantastically spaced out, with a large family holiday with unfortunate wet weather we spent plenty of time inside the house and everyone had ample space, the facilities are excellent and the house was spotless (I feel I had to note this to other potential customers as we were initially concerned prior to arrival due to an earlier review) it is well maintained and the contact, Jayney was on hand if we needed anything (we didn’t but it’s a nice touch)."
Fantastic stay, thank you

"We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed our stay."
Although it was a really wet week the cottage had lots of room for everyone to spread out with lovely views. The Property Manager couldn't have been more helpful. We will definitely return. Thank you for a memorable holiday

"This was the dirtiest house I have ever rented."
Bathrooms had not been cleaned which was very unpleasant. I had to bottom the family bathroom myself so that my family would feel comfortable to use it. Staircase not hoovered. Years of muck in radiators and on all skirting boards. Dirt on walls, in the corners of the kitchen floor, filthy engrained pepper & salt mill, shattered glass in cupboard. We had to clean out the fridge and dishwasher.
Disappointed, angry and upset as this was a treat for my family and their first visit to Cornwall.
Problem was not resolved properly. Sykes are the WORSE holiday letting company I have dealt with and I will NEVER book with them again.
The complaints procedure is a total farce.

"Arrived back in Leicester tonight after having the most amazing Christmas week at Trelawns."
This house is absolutely stunning (even in the grey and rain of winter). The kitchen is stunning, has everything you need and more plus sat 9 of us and a high chair around the table for Xmas lunch with ample space. The living room area is huge, again us all having ample space to sit, chill, or play games. The views are fabulous - the bedrooms were all well suited for our needs and having the snug upstairs meant PlayStation could still be played by my son (haha). Janey is a super star! She manages the property so well and is extremely helpful. The property was spotless when we arrived. I have absolutely no complaints to make at all.. If you want to stay in a beautiful large house, near to the sea, with a pub down the road (very steep hill) with everything you need for a large group then Trewlans is the place for you 100%. Thank you to Janey again and thank you to the owner for allowing us to have the opportunity to book and stay in your stunning property over the Xmas period. I would definitely book again. "The downstairs bedrooms were a little chilly in comparison with the rest of the house but nothing that couldn't be coped with."
The downstairs bath needed cleaning before it could be used other than that fabulous place, fabulous views. Would definitely book it again.
The owner is delighted that you found the property and location fabulous. They have instigated a strategy to ensure cleaning standards are consistently high Property Owner

"Good
large living space, large master bedroom, outside shower, downstairs indoor shower, two kettles, plenty of hot water
Less good
Second bedroom upstairs low ceiled and rather small
Hairs found in downstairs bathroom on arrival
Requirement to vacuum at departure is out of order."
Tidy and empty dishwasher yes, but cleaner between tenants essential, surely?
First aid kit only found under kitchen sink on day of departure. It should be labelled and mentioned on A4 list of house instructions.
Inadequate recycling bins. Families on holiday make more landfill and recycling than normal.
No indication on arrival or anywhere on property that the drive was shared which required parking away from neighbour's garage..
Existence of BBQ was good (albeit small for a house of ten people) not mentioned on original property details and we had to telephone to check.

"We were lucky enough to have a week holiday at Trelawns in 2018 too."
The only very minor comment would be to have two tea towels not just one, and two loo rolls per bathroom rather than the one each.
Trelawns was comfortable and worked well for our party. Jaynie checked we were ok on arrival
Thank you!

"As we were a group of 8 adults and 2 children, our options are often limited ."
Having looked at this property about a year before we actually went I was extremely happy with the help and advice offered by your Sykes customer service team . We were able to secure the property with a small deposit initially , refundable if we changed our plans ( definite bonus ) , with the final payment nearer the time . Communication was effective and prompt.
I was able to contact the property manager a few days before our holiday about requesting a cot and high chair along with key collection and arrival times .
On arrival the property was clean and welcoming and exactly as advertised. Well appointed with plenty of space for everyone. Views from the property are lovely, the beach is indeed a 5 minute walk away ! Opportunities to surf , or learn to , if you’re interested. The coastal walks are stunning, a definite must .
We also found some lovely places to eat out locally , when we didn’t feel like cooking. Would very happily recommend this property and Mawgan Porth, and hope to return in the future.
