The description of the cottage gave the impression of a cottage in the countryside, not one on a very busy and noisy B road between Newquay and St Austell. The description of the cottage gave the impression of a cottage in the countryside, not one on a very busy and noisy B road between Newquay and St Austell. The traffic was heavy from early morning until well into the evening. The parking area was unswept and the leaves/seeds thus trod into the house. The garden is in need of some tender loving care. Because of the noise of the traffic it was not inviting or pleasant to sit in the garden to enjoy a BBQ or enjoy the weather. Despite a mirror having been installed to help with driving out of the parking area it is extremely dangerous because of a curve in the road you cannot see even with the mirror lorries or cars approaching from the St Austell direction. Traffic should be driving at 40 MPH but are often much faster. Having said this the cottage was very clean inside and the linen and towels were of good quality. The welcome pack was extremely good and the flowers were very appreciated. We enjoyed the holiday and visited many coves and beaches on both the North and South coasts, a good area for touring around Cornwall, just a shame about the road. This property is not really very appropriate for children or dogs because there is no barrier between the front door and the road.
