  • "We spent christmas 2023 in this lovely cottage."

It has everything you could need and was spotlessly clean. Hot tub was great. Nice location with lots of nice walks for the dog on the doorstep. Owners on site and very welcoming and accommodating but not at all intrusive. Highly recommend this property.

Chris - thank you for the feedback. It was great to meet you and we’re really glad you had a great stay. Property Owner

  • "Absolutely lovely stay and such a lovely welcome too."

The cottage is spotless, huge and has everything you could need. The hot tub was a huge plus and the kids loved it - and the big field too - very good for kite flying! Helping to feed the alpacas, lambs and chickens made my daughter's holiday too. Couldn't fault the place at all; it's one of our favourite places we've stayed in 25 years of cottages in Cornwall. The Roseland is beautiful and very peaceful, even in high season. We will be back!

  • "After reading the reviews, and viewing the pictures online we thought we knew what to expect when we arrived, However the reviews and pictures don't do the cottage justice."

The cottage had everything you needed and more, so much thought and detail has gone into the renovation. We were met by Sarah, who was warm and welcoming. The lovely surprise hidden under the cake tin was very appreciated. Scones, cookies, flapjacks, fresh bread, homemade jan, cream, milk and cornish butter. We have to say, these were delicious. Both Mike and Sarah are easily contactable, they checked in with us during our stay to make sure we were happy. Absolutely fantastic hosts. The dogs loved the large secure field. The walk down to Messack Point is a must. The view is breathtaking. We had a fantastic stay in Cornwall, we visited several beaches, including Towan, Pendower and Carlyon Bay. Jet skiing at Carlyon Bay is a definite! We booked with Cornwall Waverunner, Amazing experience with the bonus of seeing 2 pods of Dolphins. Then a pop along to Charlestown Harbour where Doc Martin was filmed amongst others St Ives, Lands End and Tintagel Castle are definitely worth a visit along with Via Ferrata for the ZipWire. We did have an Emergency vet trip, due to one of the doggies enjoying the sea a little too much, ending up with frozen tail oh and a hospital visit after a fall in St Ives (no alcohol involved, this time!)

All the little details were the ones that meant so much to us, the welcome pack the towels and all the little extras that you forget to pack. The owners Mike and sarah are so lovely and make you so welcome we would definitely book again and highly recommend karadow especially to families as it’s ideal for kids plenty of space inside and outdoors. We loved it!!!!

Hi Tina. Thank you for your kind feedback. It was great to meet you, Paul and the gang and we’re glad you had the chance to relax after such a long journey. We’d love to welcome you back if you’re ever down this way again (as would our furry friends!). Take care. Mike, Sarah and family. Property Owner

Excellent quality to everything available, right down to the potato peeler (yes we did have Sunday roast!) Location was perfect, not just for the Roseland and St Mawes but generally the rest of Cornwall due to the King Harry Ferry. Thanks Mike & Sarah for having us and the pooches!

Hi Debbie - we're so pleased you enjoyed your stay and thank you for the feedback. It was great to have you all to stay - including your four-legged friends. Glad you got to explore the best Cornwall has to offer! Property Owner

  • "Well what can I say, the pictures for starters don’t do the property any justice."

What lovely clean, comfortable, spacious and modern home, felt like home really. The hot tub was a little on the hot side temperature wise but Mike was very accommodating and turned it down for us. There is a secure paddock behind the house with direct access onto with lots of space for our dog to run around in. We throughly enjoyed a game of table tennis too. But for us the position and the walks around the accommodation were breath taking. One of the best places we have stayed in Cornwall and hopefully one day will return. Thanks Mike and family for making our holiday after a hard year very relaxing

Well situated for anywhere in Cornwall as long as you don’t mind a drive. Nice walks on your doorstep and plenty to do in nearby St Mawes, where we kayaked. If your wanting to surf or body board you need to be on the other side of Cornwall, but everywhere is easily accessible. Never felt so relaxed and at home in a holiday cottage, it’s beautiful and takes your breath away. The hot tub is the added bonus to such a nice house. Michael and Sarah are wonderful hosts and on hand to help with anything. Fantastic stay so much so we’ve booked for next year already.

We loved time in the hot tub, the kids seemed to chat for England in there, just perfect. The decor was beautiful, we enjoyed cooking here as we had everything we needed, just like home from home. The owners were so friendly, thoughtful & helpful. We had a cream tea waiting, my fave & left a bottle of bubbles for me to enjoy for my birthday. The walk & views surrounding the cottage are worth checking out. We would love to return one day. Thankyou for everything.

An alle anderen: bedenkenlos mieten… ankommen… wohl fühlen :-) --- If we could tell you our experience in one word, it would be "sensational!" First a big thank you to the two hosts, who have welcomed us so warmly and lovely, always with help and advice to the side and with whom we also had one or the other private conversation during the week :-) I'm not really exuberant, but I would have to lie if we had missed anything: a private parking lot in front of the house, a nice welcome pack of regional food, a super modern and tastefully decorated house, lacking in the kitchen nothing at all. And do not laugh, we even bought the same pots in Germany because they were so good!! A huge smart TV, leather couches, very large and above all modern bathrooms. And for us also very important the really big beds and the high-quality mattresses ... Goodbye back pain :-D But the best of all ... on one of the two terraces was the large hot tub. Although we are both no water rats, we were every (!) evening up to 3 hours in it and have counted the stars until the night. It is so quiet there, no car sounds, nothing. Instead, a huge garden where we even saw a deer during the week! Dear Sarah, dear Mike ... you both did everything right and you have created something great. In fact, you have inspired us in many ways and we would like to thank you again for a great week. To everyone else: rent without hesitation ... arrive ... feel good :-)

It has a very well equipped kitchen, everything is brand new, the longe and bedrooms are bright, modern and airy. The bathrooms have excellent showers, bonus having a w/c and shower room downstairs. This doubled as a utilility room, with washing machine. The welcome tray of cream tea, with strawberries, Cornish biscuits, proper creamy local milk as well as tea, coffee etc. There was also dog treats, a couple of sachets of dog food, poo bags and 2 bowls, much appreciated. The owners love dogs and have a friendly little Terrier. The gardens are well kept and nicely planted, the front garden was a paved enclosed area with a picnic table, the back garden, also enclosed, had rattan furniture, sun lounger and badminton rackets etc.Beyond the garden was a massive play area/ dog walking area. It had Table tennis, a football area and benches and more picnic tables. There are lovely walks in 8 acres of grounds including down to the sea. There was an abundance of birds and even saw a Roe Deer one evening Our Hosts Michael and Sarah were charming and knowledgeable about the area.Even offering to drive us to the local pub and back. The Roseland Pennisular is a beautiful area to explore, with St.Mawes and Falmouth only a few miles away. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay at Karadow, thankyou Micheal and Sarah.
