  • “The cottage is in a brilliant location, just a short walk to the shops and restaurants.”

The decor is lovely and the upstairs is really light and airy. Great new kitchen and bathroom. Jo was quick to answer any questions. No oven dishes so bear in mind if planning to cook. It could probably be clearer that the terrace area is not private so there is nowhere secure to put the dog out but in the end this did not dampen our holiday - there is a dog friendly park just a couple of minutes away.

Many thanks for your feedback after your recent stay & so pleased to hear you had a good holiday. I will ask my housekeeper to check on the oven dishes, and re-plenish as required. - Sykes owner relations

The property

A delightfully cosy, stone-built cottage, nestling alongside a cobbled terrace that threads its way across the hillside, overlooking the Cornish fishing village of Mevagissey.

Furnished and decorated to a very high standard, this property boasts a lovely open plan living area with an electric fire and a central staircase which leads up to the first floor.

Here there are three lovely bedrooms, one of which boasts a king-size bed and views over the village toward the harbour.

This is an ideal base in which to relax after a day exploring the area's majestic coastal scenery or simply watching the fishermen come in after a busy day tending to the lobster pots.

The village will tempt you to linger, with a good selection of pubs and restaurants, a public leisure centre and daily boat trips from the harbour for fishing and sightseeing, while there is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area.
