  • "Lovely character cottage."

Bumped my head a few times, like I did in the pub down the hill. Back ached in the double bed but that's not unusual. Super shower. Lovely terrace with weather to match. Bottom of pan has to be really clean to work on the hob. Very sensible to have a torch both upstairs and downstairs. So used to recycling these days it was hard mixing all the rubbish together. Thoroughly enjoyed the week. Thank you.

  • "The cottage is lovely and charming with fab views of the harbour Mevagissey is a charming village and we found some great places to eat."

Directions were not very clear we had trouble locating the memorial so drove around a couple of times. The stairs in the cottage are steep and the walk up to cottage is a challenge overall we had a lovely time

  • "On the plus side we found the cottage comfortable and very well appointed with many extra items that made a huge difference, such as hairdryers and torches, plenty of hangers and kitchen items."

A slight point for improvement would be to either state or show in the photos the steps leading to the front door. They were not a problem to us but I can imagine to some they may be.

  • "Great location and beautiful place."

The house was lovely and very well looked after. It was a bit more awkward for my elderly in laws in terms of the steep stairs in the house and the walk up the hill than maybe the photos suggested. I think the directions to the property in terms of the parking could have been a little clearer, we went around in circles a few times looking for the war memorial which was blocked by a van. Maybe say “ pull up in front of the Fountain Inn” instead? But these are minor points, overall it was excellent and we had a lovely stay.

  • "On tuesday we had been out for the day, returned 5 ish."

my wife went into the Loo turned on the light and the fuse blew.No lights no sockets in short no electricity at all.We called next door but no response. We then phoned the owner, she was vert apologetic. An electrician arrived 15 minutes later. It didn't take him long to spot a problem with the main fuses, unfortunatly he needed parts that he could not get until the next day we had planned to eat in but that was out!!, we ate out and returned at about 9ish. No electric no coffee no telly. We did have lighting, thank goodness 9.30 a.m. our sparks arrived and had the job done in 30 minutes.( we had a cup of coffee )!!! We spoke to the owner to put her in the picture, she said it wasn't really her concern and we should have contacted you. We look forward to hearing from you.

  • "The location of Thimble Cottage, cleanliness and facilities are all excellent."

The only drawback was the bedrooms on the second floor but bathroom on ground floor also pebble steps up to door but these only because my wife has been unwell and I have arthritis making some movement irksome. So if your fit and able lovely. Not 5 minutes from shops, pub and harbour and in a quiet location too.

  • "A charming cottage with a lovely homely feel."

We had a great stay at Thimble Cottage and the one issue we did have was dealt with quickly and thoughtfully. The owner clearly puts a lot of care into the cottage and there were lots of nice touches (and Christmas decorations) which we really appreciated during our stay. Super comfy beds so we slept really well, just look out for the low beams upstairs!

  • "Our stay at Thimble Cottage was just perfect, the fisherman's cottage was beautifully furnished, very cosy with the Woodburner on in November."

The view of the harbour from the bedroom window seat was lovely. I'd sit with a cup of tea and watch the fishing boats coming in, in the morning. To be honest we didn't want to come home. Mevagissey was very welcoming and friendly with a wonderful pub called The Fountain just minutes away from the property, which we visited frequently! There are slots a number of restaurants and shops there as well. We will be returning, it was just do lovely, it really was. Definitely highly recommend.

Beautifully decorated with everything that you could possibly need for your stay, even milk in the fridge on arrival which was very much appreciated. Beds are very comfortable too and the kitchen is very well equipped. I have already recommended this cottage to a friend. We thoroughly enjoyed our week, thank you.

  • "A great holiday experience, cottage location is ideal overlooking the harbour, but far away enough not to be disturbed by any noise, can't day that for those seagulls though!"

Cottage caters for all your needs, bed was comfortable, kitchen meets all needs, milk in fridge was much appreciated. All in all a lovely stay, perfect base for travelling around Conrwalls attractions, plenty of places to eat and good selection of shops.
