Lovely welcome pack, much appreciated. Great contact with owners, who couldn't be more helpful. Only suggestion would be a few more pyrex bowls (couldn't make crumble or trifle)

Thankyou Steven for your review!!! We are so glad you enjoyed yourselves & we take on board your comments.....I love a crumble!!! Many thanks to you all for leaving the lodge so clean & tidy, top guests!!! Property Owner

  • "The lodge was immaculate!"

The decor was modern & the hot tub was a great addition which we enjoyed most days! I’ve stayed in a lot of properties through Sykes but the owners of Lodge 22 were by far the friendliest and most welcoming - their customer service was exceptional. The thought they put into their guests was clear, from the text to say have a great stay through to the Prosecco and chocolate left for us on arrival. The holiday park is quiet & friendly. There’s a cage on site and just outside the holiday park is another cafe with stunning sea views. There are lovely little towns around, Millbrook & Cawsand were in easy 10 min reach. You can also get the car ferry to Plymouth about 10 mins from the lodge. The local Indian delivers to the sight if you don’t fancy cooking, and I got my Tesco delivery straight to the door of Lodge 22 as well! All in all a fantastic stay with my family, we’d definitely come back! Thank you Simon & Nicky!

Thankyou so much for a very good & accurate review Catherine, highlighting those little extras for future visitors!!! Plus, a big thanks for leaving our little pad so tidy on departure!!! We hope to see you guys again sometime soon, best wishes, Simon & Nicky!!! Property Owner

Immaculately clean and with such attention to detail, we were immediately comfortable. The hot tub was just perfect for relaxing and staring at the stars. The owners were so helpful and communicative throughout, even when the answer to our question was obvious! It’s oh so quiet here- we wanted to relax and read in the sun and we could definitely do that. The loudest noise we heard came from distant sheep. Bliss! Would definitely book again. Thank you, Simon and Nicky!

  • "We had a wonderful break."

Great part of Cornwall, beautiful scenery and not at all crowded. Lodge was superb - comfy beds and very clean, great attention to detail - and owners were very helpful, even left us some treats on arrival. Stunning views and superb beach, just be prepared for the steep climb down and the challenge of the climb back up - definitely worth it though! We were very happy with our holiday - the only complaint was that it went too quickly! Would love to go back!

  • "The lodge and hot tub is very overlooked by other lodges so there is little privacy especially when in the hot tub."

The local area is very steep cliffs and not suitable for many people. However the views of Plymouth from the lodge are very good. The site has very limited facilities due to the covid shut down and the local area has only one restaurant within walking distance.

We are sorry to have received this review & can only think that what you were looking for was simply not our lodge! We clean and maintain the property ourselves so we know that every week it is left in the same high standard, the photos clearly show its position and the views are exceptional, which can only be achieved from a point of height! There are many other lovely beaches & great food to be had within a short drive or bus ride(100mtrs to bus stop). Many previous reviews seem to paint a slightly different picture of a very special place. Regards Simon & Nicky. Property Owner

The lodge is clean, spacious and really well equipped. The owners were very helpful prior to check in and during our stay. We can't comment on the facilities on site as we didn't use them! The beach over the road is absolutely stunning but it's a very steep walk down and back up, not suitable for prams (as we found out!!) We would definitely stay here again.

They were quick to answer any queries that we had and made us feel very welcome. The lodge, itself, is quite spacious and clean. They provided Prosecco and chocolate in the fridge for us, which was a very sweet thing of them to do. The location is perfect with beautiful surroundings and it was easy to reach local attractions. The only problem was that due to COVID restrictions, the restaurant and pool were closed. Other than that, it was a perfect little getaway. We will definitely come back when things get better.

Very clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Owners couldn’t do enough to help us out on the first day. Wine and chocolate was left as a little treat which was a lovely surprise after our six hour drive. Thanks Guys ! The local beach is a very steep walk down the cliffs definitely not a suitable beach to walk to with a pushchair and small children as we found out. Lovely as the beach was there was a better more accessible beach at Cawsand and a nice restaurant The Bay also a short drive away. Mon to Thurs nothing is open at the park there is a small village Millbrook down very narrow lanes about a mile away which has a coop and premier shop for milk and essentials. Lovely views we didn’t use the hot tub although it looked lovely as the weather wasn’t great but it is Sept. We all enjoyed our stay.

Very much a home from home with everything you could possibly want and need. A peaceful location with stunning views to wake up to. Perfect location for exploring the area. We loved the hot tub. The owners were very helpful and made sure we were comfortable and settled. Little touches like a bottle of fizz and chocolate in the fridge gave us the real sense of being special and so welcoming when entering the lodge for the first time. • "Had a fantastic time at lodge 22 absolutely beautiful, amazing views , lodge is very comfortable home from home the owner of the lodge simon was very very helpful and was only a phone call away with any questions we had , if you don't like driving due to the narrow roads and want a few drinks on a evening then I recommend Coastline taxi very helpful and reasonable priced , due to covid we didn't have the facilities on site so no pool ,no cafe and the restaurant only opened up Thursday to Sunday."

If you do like to go to other villages then you will have to drive but they do some bus routes but the buses are very hit and miss , the beach is beautiful but be prepared for a steep hike back and not good for the older ones with disabilities. Cawsand and kingsland were lovely and millbrook is not to far away if you need essentials. The actual lodge is amazing and you don't need anything apart from food as there is everything in the lodge you need plus the amazing hotub. Would recommend lodge 22 to my family and friends .

Whitsand Bay 1 mile; Plymouth 8 miles.

Set in a bowl of hills at the head of a tidal creek that leads to the Hamoaze, opposite the great naval city of Plymouth, Millbrook is located on the Rame Peninsula, "Cornwall's Forgotten Corner". Bounded by the Lynher and Tamar rivers, the Hamoaze and the sea, the area is deeply rural and designated as one of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village has a good range of shops and pubs, while close by are the pretty coastal villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, from which a ferry will take you to Plymouth. Along the southern edges of the peninsula are miles of beautiful walks with glorious views of Rame Head. Just a mile south of Millbrook lies Whitsand Bay with its miles of uncrowded sandy RNLI patrolled beach and dramatic cliffs. A superb base for discovering the wild side of Cornwall.
