“The cottage is in an excellent location for coastal walking, including walking to local tea rooms and the pub through the fields.”

It is always lovely spending a few days not using the car. The garden was great, fully fenced in and our 2 Jack Russell's were able to roam around with no fear of escaping which they are very good at doing.

It is always lovely spending a few days not using the car. The garden was great, fully fenced in and our 2 Jack Russell's were able to roam around with no fear of escaping which they are very good at doing. The cottage had everything we wanted and were very comfortable. We shall be coming back here again, it had no faults as far as we were concerned.

The property

This smart and beautifully renovated detached cottage is about a mile from Morwenstow’s excellent pub and award-winning tea rooms.

Light, bright and airy, this delightful property has been stylishly renovated with smart slate tiled floors and exposed beams in the living areas, providing top-notch all-year-round accommodation for families visiting the north Cornish coastline.

On the ground floor, a cosy sitting room with wood burning stove and dining area, and a well-equipped galley kitchen which leads through to a practical utility room for storing surfing or walking gear, and a cloakroom with WC and basin.

Two lovely bedrooms – a king size double and twin – also on this floor.

Climb the stairs from the sitting room to a further king size double bedroom with high beamed ceiling to the apex and en suite bathroom and a shower room.

Big enclosed garden with plenty of room for ball games to the rear.

Salty Cottage is within walking distance of the great surfing beach at Stanbury Mouth cove (rocky path down to beach, not for the faint-hearted) and the Coast Path, as well as Cornwall’s highest cliffs.

It's a short drive to the sand surf beaches and lively pubs, restaurants and bars in the lovely seaside town of Bude. A fantastic place to relax, unwind, find great surfing coves or just walk to the pub by footpath - remember to take a torch.
