"Een gezellige zeer complete vakantiewoning."
Echter voor iemand die de 196 cm lang is is de woning wel wat laag en het tweepersoonsbed te kort. De banken in de gezellige woonkamer zijn nogal doorgezakt. De gastvrouw vonden wij erg attent. Zo stond er bijvoorbeeld melk en water in de koelkast. Koffie, thee, melk en suiker, chocolademelk en zelfs koekjes stonden klaar. Vanuit het huisje is binnen een half uur rijden heel veel moois te zien.

"A lovely two bedroom property, at a wonderful location, in a beautiful part of the country."
The owners are lovely. Lots to do locally with great beaches, Roskilly’s ice cream farm with food, animals and ice cream, Seal Sanctuary and wonderful walks. Mudgeon Vean has a play shed and large open space for children. Highly recommended.

"Such a lovely cosy cottage with all the equipment you could need, including logs and instructions how to light the fire for a novice like me!"
My girls loved the playroom with the table tennis and the play area on the green, as well as going to collect eggs with Sarah, who was such a friendly helpful host. Honestly can't fault the place. Had a great time. Its a perfect position for exploring the furthest points of the south west. We would love to return when the weather is a little better.

"This is a very well equipped, comfortable and quiet cottage."
Beautiful surroundings, very rural location. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. This is a real cornish cottage retreat from busy city life, but only 6 miles from Helston Town. Its a perfect base to explore the Helford River, The Lizard and Western Cornwall with all the beautiful country and coastal walks along with spectacular beaches and coves to explore.

We got a lovely warm welcome from the owner Sarah on arrival and whenever we saw her on the farm. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Everything about the cottage was well thought out and it was well equipped. The cottage is on a lovely working farm with animals and we enjoyed one of the owners cats coming by everyday, he was so friendly. I will be recommending this accommodation to family & friends. I can honestly say it made our Cornish holiday perfect and it really helped having such a lovely person as the owner :)

"We have just returned from a lovely week at Swift Cottage."
This was one of the best equipped and most thoughtfully laid out cottages we've stayed in and we were most comfortable. The cottage is cosy, tastefully furnished and has plenty of space for a family, including a pretty courtyard garden with BBQ. The location on Mudgeon Vean farm was also a real highlight with plenty to do on site, from the play area, games room with table tennis and local walks. Sarah the owner was most helpful and is a very experienced holiday cottage host. I particularly appreciated the very full and detailed visitor information guide and library of tourist information provided.

Very quiet and peaceful. The walk around the farm is lovely and also the orchards. There are so many wild flowers and bees. We didn't have children with us but this is a good holiday for those with young children as there is much to keep them occupied. Owner was very helpful. Would definitely book again.

I can honestly not fault anything! We had such a brilliant holiday, the owners were so accommodating and brilliant with the children too.. the kids especially enjoyed collecting the eggs the chickens had laid with Sarah! The cottage was spotless, beds comfy, and had everything we needed. The grounds were beautiful and the children loved the playroom & outdoor play facilities. We will most definitely return again soon!

The property
Two miles from Mawgan, and two from Manaccan, above the Helford River, is Swift Cottage.
Cosy Swift Cottage is comfortable and welcoming, with beamed ceilings, squishy sofas and an open fire in the sitting room.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you'll need.
Stairs lead to two bedrooms - a pretty double and a room with child sized bunks.
They share a family bathroom.
As well as its own enclosed garden, guests can enjoy the owners fifty-five acres of fields and woodland with panoramic countryside views and woodland trails.
Children will love the outdoor play space, swings, football goals, climbing frames and sandpit, and the friendly owners will be happy to introduce you to their ducks and hens.
For those not so sunny days, there is table tennis, a pool table, and games/toys, inside a large games cabin to keep everyone entertained.
If you can bear to tear yourself away from the onsite entertainments, the village of Mawgan-in-Meneage is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on Mawgan Creek, which leads to the Helford River.
From here it is a tranquil walk to National Trust Tremayne Quay, whilst the Seal sanctuary, and Flambards theme park both make for excellent family days out.
The beaches at Gunwalloe, Church Cove, and Poldhu are all within 5 miles for a more relaxed turn of pace.

Where you’ll be staying
MAWGAN-IN-MENEAGE
Helston lies at the western gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, a large area of downland fringed by a beautiful and spectacular coastline. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Nearby is the Poldark Mine, one of the best underground experiences in the south west and which tells of the widespread mining heritage of this area. Nestled in a tranquil setting is the National Seal Sanctuary on the Helford River, where there is plenty of entertainment watching seals play and feed. If it is thrill rides that excites you, then Flambards theme park will keep you amused all day and also has excellent living history experiences. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Helston is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family.
