“If Carlsberg did holiday cottages !”

This cottage has everything you can think of. There was nothing we needed that had not already been thought of, from hot water bottles to a ample supply of logs for the log burner. For once the cottage was exactly like the photos online, and not photos of the cottage When it was first presented. Location was spot on for us Local pub opposite, and village shop close by. Good location for visiting Falmouth , Trelissick NT and good beaches close by for the summer.

The property

Nestled in the heart of the pretty creekside village of Mylor Bridge, is this beautifully restored two storey cob cottage finished in traditional lime paint with oak lintels.

Internally, the property boasts a wonderfully modern decor and quality furnishings, whilst still retaining its original period features, giving the rooms a warm and homely feel throughout.

Look forward to spending your evenings in the sitting room, with a large stone inglenook fireplace housing a woodburning stove to keep you warm during those chilly winter months.

Curl up with your loved ones and delight in the provided TV to keep up to date with all your favourite shows.

Walk through to the open-plan kitchen/diner, with plenty of seating for family gatherings over a delicious home-cooked meal, prepared in the modern and well-equipped kitchen.

Follow the steps up to the first floor, which has two well-presented bedrooms, with a light decor and plenty of storage space for your personal items, and is supported by a family bathroom.

Outside boasts a wonderful garden, with lawn and patio areas, where you can take a refreshing beverage and simply enjoy the fresh country air, while your pet runs freely in the enclosed space perfect for summer alfresco dining.

There are numerous waterside and country walks available straight from the front door, including one along the creekside to the Pandora Inn.

Mylor Yacht Harbour provides ample opportunities for those interested in various watersports activities such as fishing and sailing, or take in the views at the waterside cafe or wine bar.

You are within reach of the wonderful National Trust land of Trelissick Garden, featuring an art gallery and is ideal for riverside woodland walks with beautiful views across the manicured gardens.

Travel towards any of the nearby sandy beaches dotted along the South West Coast Path, and spend your afternoons getting involved with Cornwall's favourite sporting activity of surfing, whether you're a self-taught professional, or just starting out, there are surfing schools nearby to help brush up on those skills.

Return to your delightful Cornish cottage for a relaxing evening with your loved ones.

About the location

Falmouth 4 miles; Truro 8 miles.

A sought-after and picturesque village at the head of Mylor Creek that runs up from the Carrick Roads, the World’s third largest deep water harbour. Boats and sailing, wooded creeks, softly gliding water, riverside pubs and fabulous gardens epitomise the area. This friendly village has a superb selection of local shops (try the fresh fish!), a Post Office, a good pub and several restaurants within easy reach. The nearby harbour town of Falmouth with its exciting Maritime Museum and its castle, beaches and marina makes a great day out while the Cathedral city of Truro famous for its cobbled streets, theatre, museums and vibrant shopping centre should not be missed. Take the car, or a boat from Falmouth, for a trip up the stunningly beautiful Helford River and while there, call in at Glendurgan and Trebah Gardens for the horticultural treat of the year. The area is perfectly placed too for exploring the rugged cliffs, sandy coves and fishing villages of the Lizard Peninsula, also The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are both within an hour’s drive.
