  • "Simply wonderful."

Mary’s House is beautiful, comfortable, homely and well equipped. The garden is enclosed and safe for dogs and relaxing to sit in. We couldn’t have asked for more. We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday. Slept like logs in the extremely comfortable beds. Highly recommended.

  • "This is the third week we have stayed in this fabulous cottage since last September."

As usual a perfect week. The cottage has everything you need, plus it has a really welcoming, restful atmosphere. The garden is gorgeous and my cockapoo absolutely loved it. There is easy parking outside and only a few steps to the Lemon Arms. I can’t recommend Marys House enough and can’t wait to return.

  • "We have just returned from a weeks stay at Mary’s house and I cannot recommend this beautiful cottage enough."

All needs have been carefully thought of and catered for. I don’t think there was anything that we needed that wasn’t available to use. We travelled with two young children and there was a travel cot, high chair and childrens plates, cutlery etc which was lovely. Everything is beautifully clean. It is a great base for exploring Cornwall, the village itself has all your essentials with a local store, pub and news agents but larger stores are only a short drive away.

It was a delight to stay there and we could not have been more comfortable. We would give it six stars if possible for its cleanliness, facilities and decor. Mylor Bridge too, is a great place to stay with its shops, pub and harbour.

  • "This is a Fabulous cottage."

It seems everything has been considered when renovating and fitting out this beautiful house. From the quality appliances to the comfortable bed and all the little extras not usually found in a holiday cottage. This is a gem. We loved the woodburner, enclosed sunny garden and bright kitchen/diner. The situation between the general stores and post office and opposite the pub is very convenient. We found parking on the street most times but used the free carpark close by otherwise. The road outside can be a little bit noisy in the morning/evening but it wouldn’t put us off from returning. There are good dog walks from the door and Falmouth/Truro within a short drive. Highly recommended .

  • "Lovely cottage, beautifully presented."

Immaculately clean. Felt very homely and everything you might need during your holiday was provided. Felt very much like a home rather than a holiday let. Owner left a lovely welcome pack. Very child friendly internally with stair gates and child locks on some cupboards. Young children would need to be watched in garden as there are steps up to it. Mylor Bridge itself well served for shops and locals made us welcome.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful, everything plus more that you could ask for and spotlessly clean. Excellent location for travelling out and about, but perfect if you just want to stay in and pop to the The Lemon Arms for meals - 44 steps! Would definitely recommend a trip to Kota, Porthleven - Not cheap but it will be the best meal you have ever tasted. We can't wait to come back to Mary's House, we really didn't want to leave.

Good location for visiting Falmouth , Trelissick NT and good beaches close by for the summer.

The weather was a bit lousy which gave us the perfect reason to stay in with the log burner lit and to cosy up in this wonderful cottage. The house and garden are just perfect. I don't think that I could suggest a single thing to improve our stay as everything has been considered by the owners. The place was immaculately clean and decorated to a very high standard. Our dogs thought that they were in heaven beside the fire. The Lemon arms is located across the road and served home-cooked meals and local ales, the friendly local shop had everything we could need and a nearby takeaway delivered us a hot meal on another evening. I would highly recommend and we will be returning soon.

The owner was extra helpful to us and left some nice welcoming gifts. Beautiful garden too and we enjoyed using the Spanish grill so much we’ve bought one! The bath is rather tricky to get in and out of, though steps are provided, but worth bearing in mind for any less mobile guests; apart from that, absolutely no issues with the accommodation. We had two very good meals in the Lemon Arms opposite and found the village shop well stocked. The fish shop was great too. We went to a few quiet dog friendly beaches and also Trelissick Gardens and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Mylor Bridge is very well located for many places worth visiting. It was a joy to have a real fire which we used every night and the very comfortable mattress in the main bedroom is worth noting. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the electric shower was surprisingly good. As the shower was located over the roll top bath, which was on a small plinth, getting in and out of the bath could prove difficult for the less agile even with the assistance of the step-up provided.
