  • "A lovely property in such a beautiful setting."

Only a stones throw from the creek , se easy to get into the water for kayaking etc. Enclosed garden was safe for our two dogs and the utility room such a handy space. Facilities were great, 2 fridges, freezer, comfy beds , shower was powerful and hot . Plenty of books, DVDs and games to keep everyone happy. Communication from Sykes and holiday let owner was excellent I would recommend and will hopefully return to stay at Mill Moorings again

  • "We were really happy when we arrived at Mill Mooring to find that it was situated in such a beautiful location, close to the water, and not too far from the local amenities."

The accommodation was well presented and nicely decorated. The kitchen was definitely the best equipped of anywhere that we have stayed over the years. A very comfortable and pleasing stay.

  • "We were a family of 4 adults (son, 23 & daughter, 20) visiting in early Sept."

We all LOVED Mill Mooring. We were thrilled when we arrived and saw the quiet lane with water directly opposite the cottage. Safe off road parking and easy access for the cottage at the end of days out. The estuary opposite was an extension of the cottage for us, we took coffee over to a bench in the mornings and had an evening drink watching the water and wildlife and the sun go down after days out in the beautiful surrounding village and local area. We loved the whole feel of the cottage. It was well equipped and yet still had a relaxing holiday atmosphere, rather than a clinical hotelish type feel. The whole cottage has wonderful character, we enjoyed using the patio for a lunchtime meal, the local village is pretty to walk around and has lovely fresh fish/meat/grocery shop/Post Office/pub all in walking distance. We hired kayaks and found ourselves in the water just outside the house! Water pressure upstairs was low during our week, but it was adequate and did not spoil our stay. One minor note ref sitting room area, it was adequate for 4 of us but does not offer equal seating options for 4+ adults even though it does sleep 6. That said, we all have very happy memories of a very special week at Mill Mooring and would go back tomorrow!

A sought-after and picturesque village at the head of Mylor Creek that runs up from the Carrick Roads, the World’s third largest deep water harbour. Boats and sailing, wooded creeks, softly gliding water, riverside pubs and fabulous gardens epitomise the area. This friendly village has a superb selection of local shops (try the fresh fish!), a Post Office, a good pub and several restaurants within easy reach. The nearby harbour town of Falmouth with its exciting Maritime Museum and its castle, beaches and marina makes a great day out while the Cathedral city of Truro famous for its cobbled streets, theatre, museums and vibrant shopping centre should not be missed.
