"The owners were really nice couple."
The property is nice for a couple and it was nice to take the dog.the only thing we thought is that we were cold a we had no heating. the area is nice but the weather was horrible
Thank you for your review. Because of the unusual hot weather in September the heater wasn’t in the studio. Unfortunately the weather changed while you were staying. I did think about asking you if you required a heater, but because you requested a lighter duvet I assumed that it wasn’t wanted.

"Lovely, peaceful studio."
Location was really good. Jean and her husband were very welcoming and unobtrusive; there if you needed them but otherwise left you to get on with your holiday.
Everything you needed was thought of, even a complimentary bottle of wine! Garden area was lovely to sit in, if it wasn't raining, not the owners fault!

It was very quiet and had everything you needed and more (ironing board !!!!!) haha. Lovely hosts and a complementary bottle of wine went down very easily. A central property to all fabulous locations within Cornwall. Thanks once again.

"Lovely quite location for couples, out of the Hustle and bustle of the main towns but a perfect location for visiting anywhere in Cornwall, You have access to Tehidy country park on your doorstep, literally across the road, your only a two minute drive to Potreath beach which is ideal to spend the rest of your afternoon with a cocktail or fish and chips from The Atlantic beach bar and cafe and to watch the sunset after exploring."
Pool is an only a 5 minute drive where you have access to all the amenities you need, Newquay is 30/40 minutes drive and St Ives is 20/30 mins depending on traffic.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the owners made us feel very welcome, any information we needed wasn’t a problem at all and we knew how to contact them if we had any questions, but in all honesty we hardly saw them and the studio is set up in a way that it does feel completely private even though it’s within the grounds of their property.
We will definitely be staying again.

"The annex was comfortable, well presented, and clean, a nice quiet space."
It had everything it needed for cooking and living, if you need a quiet space for respite, this is it. The owners let me know they were there if I needed them but would otherwise allow privacy. They also added some nice little touches - they went above and beyond. Lovely stay, would definitely recommend.

"We spent a wonderful week at Byghan Thornton which gave us a peaceful location in a comfortable studio with all the facilities we needed for our holiday."
The owners Jean & Douglas were very welcoming and friendly but gave us complete privacy. This was a perfect spot from which to walk the SWCP using local bus services, enabling us to complete linear walks. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to be able to return again in the future.

The owners were very pleasant and polite and we had all the privacy we needed during our stay.
The outdoor area is a wonderful sun trap. Inside is much bigger than we anticipated, with a double bed, 2 reclining chairs, storage areas, bathroom and fully equipped kitchen.
Given the opportunity we’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

"Everything was perfect, found it and checked in no problem."
Lovely surprise little bits in room as a welcome. Lovely friendly and helpful couple as owners next door. Didn’t see much but were there if needed to ask anything. Room was perfect for us , couple with a dog. Outside seating area really is a great little sun trap and enclosed for the dog. We traveled out most days but room not that far from anywhere, which we went to St Ives , Penzance , Lands End , Newquay , Padstow and more in between!!

We found the area well placed for getting out and around to explore by rail or car but also enough to do locally on days we didn’t drive out. Well equipped had everything we needed except a corkscrew which I’m sure would have been available had we asked the owners who were lovely.

"We loved this place, very private and everything you could want."
Location is a brilliant base so near to the local beach and amenities. Precook the local pub as it’s very busy but would recommend. Also recommend the local golf club for food they were very welcoming. All in all brilliant, lovely welcoming hosts and would thoroughly recommend

"My son (8) and I stayed for a week at the start of the summer holidays and we had a brilliant time."
The hosts were welcoming and responsive when we needed them, and gave us complete privacy for the rest of the time. The accommodation is in a lovely quiet spot and really central to access south, west and east coast attractions. The nearby beach (portreath) is beautiful and while you will want to drive rather than walk the 1 mile distance because the road has no pavements (& it would be a long slog home) we managed to get free road parking in a hot beachy day by heading down around 9.30am. Other days we popped down for lunch and the beach front parking was reasonably priced and had plenty of spots (though that was on an overcast day....)
We both absolutely recommend booking a stay here. Even after our long drive home we are refreshed and happy.
