The cottage was beautiful, very homely and the views of newlyn harbour and the bay was beautiful will definitely be back and use your cottage again
“The views from the cottage were amazing and the photos don’t do it justice!”
The owners were very helpful with any queries and arriving to flowers and cream tea was a nice extra. The cottage was more spacious than it looked and in a perfect location. Very clean and a comfortable place to stay, had everything we needed. Added bonus was the downstairs toilet which wasn’t mentioned on the description.
Great kitchen and separate washing machine. WiFi reception good. Parking outside problematic but owner provided details of alternative parking short walk away.
“I loved everything about Sea View – its location in a particularly charming part of town and in walking distance to shops, restaurants and bus stops from which buses frequently run into several directions, and of course the cottage itself!”
It is beautifully furnished and equipped with all modern conveniences. Sea view certainly lives up to its name: the views from Newlyn harbour across the sea (including St. Michael’s Mount) from both bedrooms, living room and the kitchen are stunning and exceeded my expectations. I would gladly spend my next holiday in that beautiful part of the world at Sea View.
“This is the best cottage we have ever booked through Sykes cottages.”
Very steep hill to cottage but views are incredible. Facilities were good but could do with tumble dryer and serving spoons. Also little information in cottage. Bus/train timetables would be useful, and details of walks and menus for local eateries.
“Lovely modern spacious cottage.”
Kept to very high standards.Amazing views.
“The view was to die for across the harbour out to sea.”
And across to penzance. Immaculate accommodation everything you need home from home. The only downside for this location was VERY NARROW AND STEEP AND ROAD LEADING up to the cottage . 10 out of 10 otherwise.will use sykes cottages again without a second thought.
Set in an idyllic elevated location, looking out towards the famous St Michael's Mount, is this modernised, whilst maintaining its character, double-fronted detached cottage, dating back to the 1930s.

As nighttime approaches, take the stairs to the first floor, here you will find two tastefully furnished bedrooms hosting a double and twin beds, they both share access to a fabulous family bathroom, completing the interior of Sea View.

About the location
Penzance 1 mile.
Nestled next to Penzance, and although still a quaint town in its own right, Newlyn is actually the third largest fishing port in England, and an important Port of Refuge for all seafaring craft. This Cornish town is clustered around the harbour, with its historic 800 year old quay (the Mayflower actually left for America from this quay, not Plymouth) curling around a few small boats on the western side. Famous for the Newlyn school of Art and Newlyn Copper, the Cornwall Coastal Path passes through the town, as does the level Mousehole to Marazion cycle path. An abundance of wildlife and flora can be enjoyed along both, with basking sharks, dolphins and grey seals often seen. The Cornish coast is renowned for surfing, and Penwith offers some splendid beaches on which to enjoy this sport as well as surf fishing for sea bass. Mounts Bay also offers a wealth of opportunity for watersports enthusiasts as well as giving visitors an opportunity to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings.
