  • "A beautiful home from home, Spacious 4 stories high accomodation (this includes balcony area at the top of the building)."

    the premises were extremely clean with all the facilities you would need. 4 bedrooms (2 doubles, single bed with pullout bed, bunk beds located on ground floor and 2nd floor. As a point of reference there are stairs to each floor, 2nd floor has two bedrooms, the kitchen and living room are on the 3rd floor. Newquay town is a short walk away easy access to the popular beaches. Newquay Zoo, Aquarium and children play areas are within walking distance from the town. Dairyland is worth a visit, reached by car.

  • "Lovely property."

    Great location only a short walk to Newquay’s restaurants and beaches & very easy to get out of Newquay & drive to other places in Cornwall. Great parking. Amazing views of the sea from the living area & bedrooms. Spacious roof terrace with two comfy lounges and a table & chairs. Very well equipped eg lots of kitchen utensils, pots & pans, cleaning products, soap in all the bathrooms, soft towels. Lovely touches like milk in the fridge & tea & biscuits.

  • "We found the kitchen lacking in a lot of utilities."

    There was no bottle opener, foil/cling film, no tongs for serving spaghetti or a oven tray suitable for cooking. It was a shame we could not have a BBQ on the top terrace. We've stayed in properties in Quay Court before where a BBQ was allowed. We also found some of the beds to be uncomfortable. They comfort level felt more for children than adults. We also found the sofa to be uncomfortable. We could not seat 5 adults on there and of the 3 bean bags 2 were children size so not big enough for an adult. There was a lounge bean bag but this was too low for our family members, two of which were elderly. Hence why I feel this property is aimed more to families with children. We had to move the two balcony chairs to the front room so we were all able to sit together. For us the TV was fixed too high on the wall as we were constantly looking up towards the ceiling which was again not comfortable. We couldn't fault the cleanliness, probably one of the cleanest properties we've stayed in but unfortunately we wouldn't return to this property due to the issues noted above.

    I am sorry that things weren't quite to your liking after your recent stay but I thank you for your feedback! Our property has been furnished to appeal to families with children as described in the description. Your feedback does state that some of the beds and lounge seating is more suited to children which is exactly the main purpose, with bunk beds & a day bed with trundle in 2 bedrooms & a corner sofa with 3 bean bags & 3 stools in the lounge. I would encourage people to fully read the property description to ensure it suits their needs before booking. We have a range of utility items in the kitchen that suits most peoples needs but Im sorry we dont supply foil or cling film and I'm sorry that you didnt locate the bottle opener but it was in the cutlery drawer. There are various cooking trays in the oven. We do not permit the use of a BBQ on the roof terrace purely due to the fire risk hazard involved and our need to put guests safety first. Property Owner

  • "Just back from a brilliant week in Newquay and wanted to share what a fabulous place 10 Quay Court is!"

    The property in a great location and suited our group (of 2 families) perfectly. The downstairs terrace became the teenagers space, which left the living room and roof terrace with their amazing views, to the adults ;-). The town and the wonderful beaches of Newquay are all within easy walking distance (even though there is a hill to contend with on the way back) and it meant we could all do our own thing. There’s so many gorgeous places to visit nearby too and with 2 parking places at the property, we never had to worry that we wouldn’t get parked when we went out for the day (as that can happen if there’s no designated parking!) The owners are also great and responded really quickly to a question that I had, so thanks for that. We had a fab time in this great property and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it (or Sykes) to anyone - thanks for a great holiday :)

  • "Fantastic house and setting/base for exploring."

    Very modern and clean with exceptional to 1 bathroom (ground floor) that looked to have been missed still had previous occupants shaver etc in drawer and not been wiped around drawers etc. But the rest of the property was clean. Having stayed at numerous Sykes cottages we have had the experience of what other places offer. There were no board games and books etc but I know this is due to COVID19 that they have to be pulled out. However we felt that the property could do with a few added extras: A washing line or tumble dryer (does have a clothes airer but not enough to share when occupying 8 people and visiting the beach most days) Plug socket next to kids lower bunk bed needs socket covers so little ones don’t poke their fingers in when unattended in bed. More crockery for cooking such as: a cullender to drain pasta etc baking dish like for lasagne or Roasting veg Tonges A spare kettle for when filling pans with boiling water (has a 1 cup water heater already which we loved for hot drinks) Summer duvets as we were too warm with thick heavy winter ones. A fresh pint of milk on arrival for drink would be nice too as Carnation might be ok for coffee but not for tea. And after a 6 hour drive (from Yorkshire) we were gasping for a nice brew of tea. But these are all minor things and the house and views were gorgeous!! We will definitely return again. A must stay!!! We will certainly miss the incredible views.

Set in the heart of Newquay, on the Cornish coastline, is this delightful four-storey town house, 10 Quay Court.

This high-quality, contemporary accommodation has been decorated with a light decor, creating a real home-from-home vibe.

Set in a reverse-level interior, be greeted by two ground-floor double bedrooms which share the shower room facilities, the ground floor bedroom leading to the terrace has a day bed with trundle, perfect for children, there is also a utility room with a washing machine inside.

An enclosed courtyard patio area can be accessed via one of these double bedrooms and can act as your very own private spot to take a cup of tea, a good book and watch the sun rise.

Follow the steps up to the first floor where you will find a further master double bedroom and a bunk room, most suitable for the children of the group.

Every bedroom in the property has its own wall-mounted TV so you don't have to leave the comfort of the sheets to indulge in your favourite shows of a morning.

The first floor also benefits from access to an en-suite shower room and a bathroom with an elegant bath and shower over to prepare for your day in style.

The second-floor opens out into a large sitting room with access to a balcony area and has delightful views over Newquay town centre.
