  • "The house is laid out well, is very clean and has everything you need."

When we arrived there was a welcome package of wine, bread, cheese etc waiting for us which was a nice touch. The location is fantastic - a couple of minutes walk from the shops and Fistral beach. We found the parking ok even though you can't park in the street outside the house. You can always park in the carpark behind the house or in neighboroughing streets. The only grumble is that as a tall person, the loft bedroom can be tricky to manoeuvre around without bumping your head on the slanted roof (ditto for the ensuite). The mattresses could also all do with replacing as the springs were pretty noticeable (except the loft room which was super comfy) - but you can't have it all. Overall, a fabulous house and we'll be going back!

  • "The location of the house was amazing, especially if you want to access Newquay by foot."

You can walk to beaches, shops, certain tourist attractions, grocery shops & pubs/restaurants. It says roadside parking is available on a first come, first served basis but there is no roadside parking. It could limit slightly restrict those with mobility issues but we had to make adjustments and didn’t let it spoil the holiday. There’s anyways someone coming and going in the car park. The house is so well thought out for a family home. When they designed the layout of the house, they have used the spaces really well and got so much from it. A shower on the first floor would be helpful if it continues to be a holiday home, but we respect that this is someone’s home and it’s how they like it. I really like the house and it had everything we needed.

  • "Beautiful home, parking is a big issue, as residents parking permits only."

We would have been willing to pay more for a permit if told. Nearest car park can be costly if coming and going but is free from 4pm till 9am. Garden could be an issue if you have little ones, and one of the steps from decking was broke but someone must have came and repaired it during our stay, and only having one en-suite shower (bit of a strange stale odour coming from this as well) in the master bedroom is a bit of a squeeze for 8 people! As main bathroom, just has a bath in it. House in itself is beautiful and done out to a very good spec. The main oven needs cleaning as tried to cook pizza but it was filling the kitchen with smoke. And the tv looks like it needs renewing as the colour was weird everything had a yellow colour to it. Very central with the bus stops and town just behind the house. And many beaches within walking distance. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and bedding and towels spotlessly clean and plenty of kitchen utensils available if you want to cook etc.

  • "It was a smashing house well stocked with just about every thing & totally enjoyed by my family!"

! Parking was an issue, as we had two cars but we managed to get round it reasonably well!! The shower upstairs was a challenge with water going everywhere but I was happy to use the bath myself, as my youngest son & his girlfriend had the top ensuite bedroom. Comfortable it was, excellent in fact with all 5 of us saying the beds were great!!! The cleanliness was incredible, spotless!! Newquay isn't my 1st base for Cornwall but I'd stay here again, for sure!!

  • "We really liked the house."

A lot of thought had been put into the layout and the facilities available. The location is great within 2 minutes of the shops and 5 of the beach. The neighbours were friendly and we felt quite at home. Perhaps the cooking hood is a bit low, we banged our heads several times and a shaving mirror in the top bathroom would be great. Highly recommend this property.

  • "Lovely holiday home in an excellent location."

Only 5 minutes walk from all attractions, beaches and amenities. Parking was not a problem as the back of the house is next to a car park. The interior of the house is immaculate, especially the bedrooms and main bathroom. The garden was small but adequate for my small dog. The decking and steps where extremely slippery when wet so possible alterations are needed. Would definitely recommend and book again.

  • "Blue Skies is such a lovely holiday home with absolutely anything and everything you may need; it is in a fantastic location to all amenities and a few minutes walk to the beaches; the only thing I would recommend to improve our stay would be access to another shower; other than that it is faultless."

...I would definitely recommend and would definitely consider returning, thanks Paula

  • "The location is fantastic in terms of the views and access to different parts of the town."

The downstairs dining and living area is really comfortable, beautifully decorated and nicely organised. All of the bedrooms are spacious and attractive. The garden is really well maintained and has a nice terrace with a view of the ocean. Overall, the property has a really warm, homely feel. The owners had left some local delicacies to welcome the guests, a book with recommendations for places to go in the town and the local area, and access to some of their possessions, which proved really useful for trips to the beach. A fantastic property; unconditionally recommended.
