  • "The holiday flat was as described claen & tidy and in a great place for central Newquay."

Only a few minor niggles no curtains in living area, extractor fan in bathroom screechy and needs attention also cutelry a bit short.

  • "Pro's: Clean, comfortable apartment with everything we needed for our stay."

Netflix was a nice bonus. Could do with a throw for that cold leather furniture though. Near to all the amenities and beach where you can rent deck chairs for £5 a day. Try "Cod End" for your fish n chips really good quality. Nice to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by, could even hear the sea in the evening. Parking for one car at back of building. Quiet area and all in all a good place to stay. Con's: More stairs than expected so if you have limited mobility (I have arthritis in my hip) just be aware there are three flights to this particular apartment. Also the bath/shower has no hand grips and again if mobility is a bit limited not easy to get in and out of. The tiles around the bath edge could do with being replaced as grouting a bit black and loose and the extractor fan in bathroom makes a loud squealing noise intermittently. But these are fairly minor things that did not impact on our enjoyment of our stay.

  • "The flat could do with some TLC particularly the bathroom."

The settee could do with replacing as it sags when sat on it and the bed base if you sat at the head the base of it rose up.

  • "Lovely apartment very well equipped."

We had a small problem and the host was very helpful. Great holiday. Parking at the back of the apartment.

  • "Very clean & tidy apartment."

Decorated lovely and found it very easy with a car parking space out the back away from the main road. Suitable for our family of four. Close to all amenities such as the beach & shops, all within walking distance. Would definitely recommend this Sykes apartments.

  • "Apartment was well stocked in the kitchen with everything you need, wifi and tv with netflix."

Bed was really comfy in double room. Downside was that we only had 3 hangers between the 2 rooms and no wardrobe for clothes, and also the only mirror was the one in the bathroom so not able to dry hair all week as no mirror near a usable plug socket and went out not actually being able to see what we looked like... not big things but would be nice to have. Just needs a little tlc overall. Great location and nice to have parking space.

  • "A very clean apartment in an ideal location."

Once we parked up (the parking space is in the yellow lined spaces directly in front of house number 9 with no.13 painted on the floor) everything we needed, shops the beech, was just a very short walk away.

  • "The apartment was spacious and very clean."

We had a new mattress delivered on the day we arrived which was so, so comfortable. So much in fact, we are going to purchase one for home. (Emma mattress). It was well equipped except for space for hanging clothes, there was no wardrobe! We took some hangers with us just in case there weren't enough to find we had to hang our clothes on the curtain rail in the spare bedroom and on the back of the doors. It was in a great location and would not hesitate to stay there if we were to holiday in Newquay again.

  • "The location is great but the flat needs a bit of care probably just us being picky but the flooring creaks terribly which wasn't great when our 10 month old is trying to sleep."

The main bed is probably one of the most uncomfortable beds I've slept on, think the mattress needs a change. Couple of other issues was the plug in the sink was broken when we got there but was resolve within 48 hours of our stay which was good. The heating too forever to turn on as it got a little bit chilly. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work very well and just get dropped dust all over the floor. Nothing to do with the flat or owner but there are a few pot smokers in the flats below which really comes through the window. But fine if you close the windows while they are out there.

  • "The double bed wasn’t comfortable, with a poor quality mattress."

The sofa wasn’t very comfortable either, we didn’t spend much time in the apartment which meant they were bearable. The allocated parking space wasn’t made very clear and we received a very rude note from a disgruntled resident as we parked in their space by mistake, thankfully another resident helped and pointed it in the right direction, this could have been avoided if there had been ether communication in the welcome pack. The location of the property was excellent forwccess to both the town centre and the beach.

Quick walk into town and to the closest beach. Be prepared for lots of steps at the beach though! Or a long slope. But beautiful beaches once down there.
