  • "We had a lovely stay."

This property had everything we needed, very spacious and in a great location with lovely views. Sarah was an amazing host providing the staples for when we arrived, as well as a few treats! Would definitely recommend this place and would love to return.

  • "We've just enjoyed a lovely few days at Tree Tops with our 2 dogs."

The cottage was lovely and clean and warm with all facilities catered for. We packed cleaning products but these were at the cottage to use, along with a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and bottle of Prosecco. The scenery was beautiful and so peaceful. Very easy to travel to different areas of Cornwall. Sarah and her family were lovely hosts and we will definitely want to stay here again. Will need to book well in advance though as very popular.

  • "It was a beautiful, secluded location."

I saw the sars with no light pollution. The cottage was lovely, a very beautiful green location, aptly named treetops as a high view of the countryside is seen from the french doors of the bedroom. The hosts provided for our every need with amazing anticipation for the bits and bobs you didn’t realise you needed! A lovely bottle of chilled Prosecco in the fridge too. Very accessible hosts but they did not intrude at all. It was a lovely stay❤️

  • "Fabulous location, very peaceful, tranquil setting."

Extremely well maintained and delightful little cottage. A lovely welcome pack of Wine, Tea, Coffee, Milk and Cookies was a perfect touch, also the consideration of basic things like salt and pepper was a great. During the unsettled times we are in due to Covid 19 we were a little apprehensive as to what we would experience at the cottage, but our fears were gone with emails re keys and access to the cottage, the provision of hand gels, lots of cleaning products, all linen, bedding and towels absolutely spotless and all we would need to feel safe and relaxed during our stay Sarah (the owner) came and introduced herself to us whilst maintaining safe distancing, there was nothing that was too much trouble a real home from home. We would definitely choose Tree Tops again and recommend to all. Thankyou Sarah.

  • "Lovely tranquil setting and great location for exploring the area (visited Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Tintagel and of course Bodmin Moor)."

The property itself was extremely clean and comfortable; the hosts have thought of everything you could possibly want or need to make your stay perfect. A warm welcome with unexpected extras (tea, milk, sugar, biscuits etc). The host hosts were friendly while remaining unobtrusive. We would highly recommend staying here.

About the location

Liskeard 5 miles.

Pensilva is a moorland village with its origins in Cornwall’s tin mining history. This part of Bodmin Moor has all the raw beauty of a wilderness with many well known landmarks including the rugged Cheesewring Quarry, where granite was taken to build Plymouth’s Devonport Dockyard, and also the remote village of Minions, home of the famous Hurlers stone circles. Further west there are spectacular walks to Rough Tor and Brown Willy. There are a host of watersports available at nearby Siblyback Reservoir which is also an excellent spot for fishing. The market town of Liskeard is close by, while the famous fishing port of Looe on the south Cornwall coast is approximately 14 miles away and other noted coastal beauty spots such as Polperro and Fowey are all within close proximity.
