  • "We’ve had a great week at Trennant Lodge."

It is attached to the main house, where the owners live, but we felt that we had complete privacy. It was quite basic but the dining area and lounge were comfortable… Now TV was welcome. Phone Signal was intermittent so it was great to have such good wifi. Kitchen reasonably well equipped. We were there as a couple and had enough space, although we used both bedrooms for clothes… hanging in main bedroom (plenty of hangers which is good!) and the chest of drawers in the bunk room. Nice sunny garden, not secure though so if you have a dog, remember your long line! It is walking distance to Fowey along the Saints Way but it is a 35-45 minute walk. It’s 20-30 mins walk to Polkerris, Menabilly and Readymoney beaches. Polkerris isn’t dog friendly. The other 2 are except between 1st July-30 Sept. There are some really lovely pubs, bars and restaurants, some take bookings which would be recommended as the season gets busier. We got the ferry across to Polruan which was easy and worth doing, including the Hall Walk. They run every 15 mins. If you want the ferry to Mevagissey (4 per day), you need to be there an hour before to guarantee getting on. You can not pre-book. Had a lovely week in Cornwall and Trennant Lodge was really good for us… thank you Mike & Libby.
