  • "Great for the week."

Close to town. Clean. Lounge a bit small for us. Probably not an issue in warmer days. Could do with another bathroom

Thank you for your feedback all noted Property Owner

The standard of furniture and kitchen equipment has been very high and would highly recommend this home.

  • "Good size house, TV’s very good standard, excellent kitchen."

Comfortable and good size beds. For the expectations of 8 visitors only one proper bathroom is inadequate. Location brilliant but on-street parking a pain. On balance for us a very good property a couple of downsides mentioned above.

Thank you for your feed back though having a large shower down stairs as well as the bath room upstairs was better coming from the beach , but thank you for your comments Property Owner

  • "Nohens is a very stylish house with excellent lighting and a lovely garden."

The kitchen is well equipped. However, there isn't a comfortable chair or seat in the house. We were a couple and ended up bringing a garden chair into the lounge. The 2 sofas are very small, low backed and impossible to sit on for any time. The two leather armchairs are very firm and low backed. The benches in the kitchen are hard and uncomfortable. We had wonderful weather and sat outside on the garden seats most of the time. The mattresses are OK, but the beds squeak badly even when turning over. There are no instructions regarding the heating controls and no thermostat. Washing machine in garden shed. Parking near the property was an issue.

  • "Really lovely property, close to all amenities and very well equipped."

On our next visit Padstow we would absolutely want to stay here again. Parking can be a bit hit and miss but, even in half term, we always managed to get a spot close by. We would also like to thank the owner and Lisa from Sykes for their flexibility and kindness in tweaking dates and helpful communication which enabled our holiday to proceed (and at a time when there must have been unprecedented demand on staff to rearrange or change holidays).

The property

Tucked away on a quiet street, about 500 yards above Padstow harbour is Nohens.

A period house that has been transformed into a super-smart and stylish abode arranged over three floors.

This contemporary seaside home, offers thoroughly stylish and comfortable accommodation whilst retaining plenty of the original features.

A spacious hallway leads through to the sitting room, a relaxing space furnished with a soft leather settee and chairs, oak flooring and a large bay window that fills the room with light.

At the rear of the property, a light and airy open plan kitchen diner is the place to gather, with a sofa and dining space, wall mounted TV, along with a breakfast bar to perch for morning coffee.

The smart glossy white kitchen is perfectly equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer and provides ample space for everyone to chip-in and prepare the family meals.

Through patio doors, a Mediterranean, white-washed courtyard garden is a suntrap, with pretty coastal planters and table and chairs to enjoy alfresco dining.

A ground floor wet room with drench shower is a useful addition to dive into after a day on the beach, and there is a ground floor cloakroom.

A magnificent limed oak, glazed staircase sweeps you up to the first floor and three bedrooms.

A double room, a super-king double that can split into twin beds and a further twin room.

On this floor, a lovely stylish bathroom is furnished with pea-shaped bath with a drench shower over.

On the second floor, there is a further king-size double bedroom set into the eaves with sloping ceilings.

Here you can enjoy the magnificent views across the rooftops of Padstow to the beach and estuary. Only a short distance from the fascinating life of Padstow, Nohens is just a short walk from the shops, town and harbour, here a pedestrian ferry can take you to Rock where there is a water sports and sailing school, and there is a very good golf course at St Enodoc.

For family or friends looking to enjoy a break in this highly desirable seaside destination on the north Cornish coast, Nohens will make a 1st class choice!
