Clean and modern accommodation, plenty of room for the 5 of us and 2 dogs with a secure garden. Ideal location for exploring and the dogs loved the beach. Will certainly look to book again next year.

WiFi was excellent . Very comfy king size beds and very central for all the attractions . Couldn't fault it except for the tight parking at the front of the house as driveway was small . Will come again x

  • "The house we couldn’t fault."

It was clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. It was modern and spacious. The owners were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. The house was located within walking distance to the pubs, shop and take away (Chinese, kebab and fish & chips) and had bus stops directly outside which we used to explore other places.

Property immaculate. Thoughtful welcome pack. Property owner very helpful and easily contactable and the pub was great with lots of good food and a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend a stay at Pendeen.

  • "A pleasant house very centrally placed on the south coast."

It was very clean and well equipped. The owner lives nearby and was very friendly. My only issue is with the parking arrangements. Reversing onto the small drive at the front is a tricky manoeuvre, from a fairly busy road. Driving off the drive has very restricted visibility and requires great care. The “ample parking” described is at the rear of the house. Unfortunately access is via an unmade track, which at the time (May) was overgrown, and had two very large puddles. I didn’t consider it fit for my car, but it maybe better when dry. However, it won’t put me off re-booking, but a more accurate description may help others when choosing a property.

Thank you Kevin for your feedback. The lane at the back has been repaired and the surface is solid without any puddles, which should make it much easier to access the parking bay at the rear of the property. The lane was previously subject to heavy traffic that combined with wet weather had made the lane quite unsuitable for normal vehicles, but as stated we were unable to make the repairs until the ground had dried out. All is now good, and should you return, you will not have a problem accessing the off road parking that is described in the property description. We are pleased to see that everything else was to your satisfaction and it would be our pleasure to welcome you back if you were to choose to stay again. Kindest regards Ken and Sue Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed our stay at Pendeen, a lovely comfortable, convenient and clean holiday home."

I booked the property more for the convenience of the location to a relative who lives nearby. The house has everything needed for self catering and there was a lovely welcome basket on our day of arrival. One small problem we encountered was lack of instructions for using the Microwave, Washing Machine and controlling the central heating. Sue, the owner, at the Welcome Home Inn was very helpful though and was available to answer any questions we had when we called. I shall definitely consider renting Pendeen again in the future.

  • "We arrived in a house that was cleaned to the highest of standards and the best we have ever stayed in."

The facilities were excellent and the only very small criticism would be that the kitchen utensils could be a bit stronger (difficult to mash potatoes with a very bendy plastic masher) and some bigger saucepans would be useful if six people are staying and wishing to self cater. Situated in an excellent centre to tour most of Cornwall by car, bus or rail with pub, shops and takeaway opportunities locally.

  • "House was lovely, clean and spacious."

Everything needed for the kitchen was there. Set in a friendly village with lovely walks for the dog and a great dog friendly beach near by. One problem was the rule about not leaving dog alone in house which was not stipulated until full payment had been made. This meant we could not do all that we wanted as a family as someone would have to stay with dog. Otherwise lovely holiday.

Thank you for your review and feedback. The issue concerning leaving your dog alone in the property is a condition stipulated by Sykes and not the owners, so perhaps if you had spoken to the owners this issue could have been dealt with to your satisfaction. The owners make it quite clear thaty if you have any issues please come and talk to us, and if you had the problem you encountered could have been resolved. Property Owner

Beautiful spotlessly clean bedrooms with large comfortable beds, kitchen well equipped with a nice welcome pack. We used the back gate to walk to par beach, not needing to go near the road. Owner very welcoming, giving advise on good places to visit and eat during our stay made us feel very welcome. we enjoyed good value meals twice in the owners pub across from the house "The welcome inn" locals also very friendly and welcoming. We Walked to polkerris bay along the coast path and enjoyed lunch at the Rasleigh inn on the beach. There are lots of Lovely walks from the door step. Great holiday and we will definitely recommend Pendeen to family and friends. We will be back!
