  • Mr Sargeant

“Trotters is in a really peaceful, rural location and provides a great base from which to hit lots of local beaches.”

Also, Redruth and the A30 are minutes away, so ideal for exploring further afield. The cottage is the best equipped that we have ever stayed in. Everything was clean and tidy on our arrival, and all of the cottage's facilities worked spot on. We came away feeling that we'd found a proper little home from home. Will certainly look to return.

The property

Located on a working farm together with two other holiday homes, this homely barn conversion is surrounded by beautiful Cornish countryside, yet is just a short drive from the golden sandy beach at Portreath.

Peaceful and cosy, Trotters is a lovely family retreat with all the homely comforts you could need.

From the communal courtyard, step into the open plan living area, a welcoming space complete with country kitchen, plump soft sofas and sociable dining area.

Leading off from the living area are two comfortable bedrooms, the master with an en-suite shower room.

The main bathroom is a wet room, with a walk-in shower and a bath.

Outside, the shared garden is enclosed and is a mix of lawn and patio; a lovely, safe spot to let the children play whilst you relax with a good book or morning coffee.

When you are ready to explore, the seaside village of Portreath is just a short drive away.

The mile-long beach, harbour and excellent surfing conditions make Portreath a popular destination for surfers and families alike.

If you're not a fan of the beach, though, why not go for a walk or bike ride in nearby Tehidy Woods, or perhaps practice your aim at Tehidy Golf Club.

Trotters is well-placed for families wishing to explore both the countryside and coast of west Cornwall, and offers flexibility for larger families and groups of friends when booked alongside its neighbouring properties: Byre Cottage and The Loft.
