“Hidden gem”

The pictures do not do this bungalow justice. It’s clean and spacious and very homely. It has everything from hairdryers to an iron and ironing board and even head torches in case you need to walk out to the local shop or pub. We stayed as 2 family’s with plenty of room for everyone. The cleaner is so helpful and welcoming and left us some treats which we were so greatful for after a 7 hour journey. If you have children Perranporth beach is a must only 20 mins away. Both Robartes and the new ...

Both Robartes and the new inn at the end of the road has great food! We loved this bungalow and hope to visit again

“Spacious, clean, well situation, private bungalow”

A large spacious bungalow with plenty of parking. 2 miles from Portreath beach and approx 20 mins drive from Gwithian beach. It’s a private bungalow with no shared facilities. 5 mins from Morrison’s or Lidl and 1 min from a small shop. The bungalow has a huge lounge dinner with double doors leading to a conservatory and a further door leading to an outside seating area under the cover of vines. A large kitchen with all the mod cons, good showers in the bathrooms and good spacious bedrooms. A converted garage holds the games room with pool, snooker, table football and darts. Upon arrival we were welcomed with fresh pasties and a pint of milk in the fridge for the first cuppa after a long journey. A lovely treat. I thoroughly recommend this property.

“The only very small criticism i had was that the step to the back door (kitchen) was painted with like a gloss finish paint, and as there were 2 over 70s, it was quite slippery when damp in the mornings also if it was raining.”

May be a non slip coating would be possible?

“Crendon is a spacious and beautifully presented bungalow.”

Upon arrival we found delicious fresh Cornish pasties waiting for us from our hosts. A lovely welcoming gesture. Outside is plenty of private parking to the front and rear of the bungalow. Inside it has a huge lounge dinner with double doors to a conservatory with a further dinning table and comfy lounge chairs which again opens out to an outside seating area under cover of a vine shelter. A large kitchen with all the mod cons expected and even a fresh pint of milk to make your first cuppa after a long journey. The beds were all made up and had ample room and furnishings. Good showers in the bathrooms. A great garage converted games room with pool, snooker, table football and darts. I definitely recommend this property. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. It was 2 miles from Portreath beach and approx 20mins from Gwithian. 5 mins to Morrison’s or Lidl in Poole or 1min from a small shop. It doesn’t share any facilities so is completely private.

We purchased a mattress topper for one of them, which made it more comfortable, and left it on site. Also, no proper arrangements for refuse collection. It had to be stored away by the cleaner...who was excellent.

“Crendon was spacious, even more than the online pictures.”

This is a very important feature for our families. We loved the outlook, and the situation was perfect for getting to lots of local places like St Ives, Tehidy woods etc. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the kitchen was extremely well stocked. We have had many holiday bookings, and found Crendon to be unusual in that it was well provided with washing up liquid, handwash, shower gel and hand towels in bathrooms. This is a good feature as I usually have to use my own. The whole family loved the games room, and we would recommend both Sykes and Crendon to others. Thank you!

A joy to come home to after a day out and perfectly positioned for sightseeing. Very quiet at night with comfortable beds and the parking was easy, everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The property

This spacious detached bungalow stands in a prominent position with stunning far-reaching views over Tehidy Country Park and towards the north Cornwall coast.

This quiet and peaceful Illogan Downs property is comfortably furnished and provides ideal accommodation for families with four cosy bedrooms.

A lovely conservatory at the rear of the cottage adjoins the spacious sitting room with wonderful rural views across fields, a perfect spot to relax in after a busy day exploring the area.

Children will love the large garden at the rear of this Illogan Downs cottage, whilst those wishing to take a refreshing drink in the sunshine will enjoy the patio at the rear of the conservatory.

The property also boasts a separate games room with full-size snooker/pool table, multi-games table, table football and a championship darts board, with darts.

The village shop and the local pub are just a five minute walk from the cottage while the local 250-acre Tehidy Country Park is excellent for walking and golfing and the sandy beach at Portreath is a five minute drive.

This Illogan Downs cottage is a lovely family holiday cottage, away from the crowds but close to the beach.
