  • "Beautifully presented and cosy Cottage, with everything that you would require for a relaxing stay."

Lovely to meet Natalie and Simon who were very welcoming and informative. A cream tea left for us on arrival was just perfect. A great base for the many walks in the beautiful countryside. The potting shed offered the easy purchase of logs and kindling and beautiful gift ideas. The property is well designed with attention to detail and is highly recommended.

  • "We had a fabulous stay at Wheel Cottage."

The owners notified us that they would be away during our stay and we experienced no problems. A bonus for us was gaining access at 11am on the first day of stay, this meant we could leave home at 4.30am to get to Wheel Cottage. The location is fantastic along a mile long no through road, this suited us. Wheel Cottage is a beautiful conversion of a farm building and we loved it. The furnishings and furniture are all of top quality. We loved it. We have visited this area many times however over the past 10 years have favoured the north of the county, so it was great to reconnect with the south. A couple of highlights would be the ferry to Fowey and The Duchy Nursery and Cafe at Lostwithiel is a must. Enjoy

  • "Wheel Cottage was very comfortable and welcoming after a day out in the blustery November weather!"

It is presented very well and attention to detail is great. Love the potting shed /shop. Clear instructions to start the wood burner & everything user friendly. Ideal for exploring the area with lovely walks from the cottage. The weather for us made it very muddy and slippery so we didn't explore as much as we would've if ground was firmer! Only downside is that we found bed too hard for us (perhaps a topper would help?) hence 3 stars for comfort.

  • "Beautiful cottage set in peaceful countryside."

Just the place to unwind and relax especially coming from a city, being away from the hustle and bustle was definitely what was needed. The owners where extremely welcoming and very quick to sort out a fallen tree caused by the storm. Would love to go back again. Amazing

  • "A shower mat in the cubicle would be good as base is slippery - luckily we brought our own."

A short hand rail from the hallway to bedroom would be helpful. Although I am disabled because the accommodation was spacious it was easy to get around.

  • "Great cottage."

Would be good if a hand rail was to be put on the wall into the bedroom as steps are steep.Very friendly and helpful hosts would definitely recommend .

  • "Everything was fabulous except the bed mattress was very hard, would suggest a newer one is provided."

We wouldn't want to fault anything else, location great, cottage great and weather fabulous and plenty of places to visit, Looe and Polperro about 5 mins in the car.

  • "We were delighted with Wheel Cottage."

Natalie and Simon were very welcoming and attentive as well as respecting our privacy. The Cottage and environment are perfect - feels like the middle of nowhere whilst being in walking distance to the pub and shop and easily accessible to all the places we love. We had rain, hail, high winds, sun and snow whilst staying and Wilton Mill farm was stunning in all weathers. Will absolutely be returning very soon, hopefully for longer next time and with family.

  • "Wheel cottage was just lovely and its location was peaceful."

We have already started to plan in when we can return in the warmer months as it was a lovely stay and a good base for exploring. The owners were friendly and accommodating and very kind when our little boy was poorly. We have recommended the cottage to friends and family.

The cottage was ideal. Comfort very good. Lovely location. Shame there were some Wi Fi issues . We had a wonderful break and would recommend it to others. Mandy & Alan.

  • "Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings but our stay was spoilt by the extremely uncomfortable bed and pillows."

There was a dirty jug and cups in the cupboard and an old washing up brush which looked dirty and needed replacing. We decided not to use it and bought our own. The addition of a dishwasher would have solved this issue. We’ve never been to a holiday property that doesn’t have one. There were masses of spider webs and consequently lots of spiders. A few changes could make this property 5*

  • "Tranquil and picturesque, comfortable and warm."

We left car and walked/bussed everywhere we wanted to go. Buses are frequent and cheap - easier then finding parking. Hosts and locals friendly and helpful. Everything you need supplied including bottle of fizz and cream tea. Would have liked to see some photos/history of the mill as nothing on Google.
