  • “We had a wonderful time despite the weather (!”

). The Owners were very welcoming, the facilities at the Cottage were brilliant, it was so cosy and comfortable, we cannot recommend it and them high enough, we really struck lucky with our choice.

The property

Nestled next to a working farm, attached to the owner's home some four miles from The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and within striking distance of the South West Coast Path, is Pengelly.

This well-presented, two-bedroom farmhouse is in the Cornish village of Lower Sticker and is ideal for a week-long family holiday.

You will feel at ease in the cosy living room from the moment you arrive, with the warmth from the electric fire to keep you toasty during the colder months.

The kitchen is well-stocked with all your culinary needs for whipping up hearty meals and getting everyone together around the dining table, before unwinding with a board game and glass of wine, then heading up to bed.

There is a king-size double room occupying a zip/link bed upstairs and a bunk room for the children, while the shower room is well-appointed for those early mornings.

To the outside, you have the benefit of not only the open lawned area to the front, but an established garden to the rear, which is enclosed and laid with pretty borders, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink and a BBQ on the patio.

You are in an enviable position for exploring the stunning Roseland Peninsula, known for its breath-taking landscapes and inspiring coastal scenery.

Enjoy a plethora of walking through wooded countryside and through pretty fishing and rural villages, before paying a visit to the charming market town of St. Austell.

Spend an afternoon at the beach at Pentewan and try a handful of watersports at Polkerris, then return to Pengelly for a much-needed rest.

Choose this superb property for your next holiday in Cornwall.
