  • "We was very happy with the cottage it was very relaxing, well kept, with beautiful scenery all around."

The shops weren’t too far and you could walk to them if you wanted to. We was given lots of information about the local area and what you can do around the area. Wasn’t far from a lovely viewing point to watch the sun set and there are lots of attractions, beaches and things to do near by like Senna cove, st Ives, Lands End. We definitely recommend zooming in on your map so all the little coves come up as there are some lovely little gems to find. The cottage and are we highly recommend and plan on returning ourselves.

  • "The farmhouse was perfect although we were only staying 5 days."

Everything was provided, even milk, tea and biscuits. The location was great for us and very quiet but it was still easy to reach the touristy spots. Mrs North came to welcome us after we arrived. We would definitely stay again if we get that far west in future. Thanks.

Lots of nice details and the owners are very friendly. It's located near the coast with a beautiful view! It's a bit cold inside, so we had to turn on all facilities to heat it up every day. But still very cold. Such a lovely place to stay.

Spacious kitchen, bathroom & bedrooms. Liked all the window seating. A separate extra toilet would of been welcomed (as a family of 5) but we were out & about mostly anyway. The cottage is a little remote but a excellent base for lands end, st Ives, st just (great for takeaways) the lovely mouse hole and minack theatre with its gorgeous beach below.

It's comfortable, warm (thanks to the storage heater system), and fully equipped with everything you might need for your stay. If you run out of anything - bread, milk, and the like, the local Spar mini supermarket is a very pleasant ten minute walk away, or a two minute drive. Can't fault it to be honest!

The cottage is set in a very beautiful location and we really enjoyed the coastal walk across the fields to the local Cove. Pendeen and the local area has a good range of pubs and is ideal for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the main towns. It's a tranquil place which is awe inspiring and thought provoking. A beautiful place to unwind and reflect after a stressful year. Thank you Ann.

  • "We've been coming to SW Cornwall for many years now and this our best experience by far."

More spacious that the photos give it credit for. Tastefully decorated. Beautiful sunsets over the fields and a glistening sea in the distance through the kitchen window. Place to park right outside the front gate. Superb white goods, especially the oven and a useful separate mini-freezer. Overnight water heater just enough for 2 full baths so fine as long as it's managed (and it has a booster). Separate electric little power shower with non stop hot water. Pretty good internet bearing in very rural location - could stream from two devices simultaneously - beyond that reception started to struggle. An office with a desk and an armchair was a nice surprise. Decent small Spar about half a mile away with a free car park opposite. Footpath one way, road then footpath the other to Portheras Cove, a beautiful beach that is off the beaten track so not busy (almost like a private beach) and great for paddling, sunbathing and rock pooling but probably not swimming. Ann the owner on hand for help but respectful, charming and discreet. We have already booked again for 2021. Recommended.

  • "Had a lovely time in the farmhouse."

Both the front downstairs windows leaked when it rained and the floor in front of kitchen window was like a pond after heavy rain. Just don’t put anything on the floor as it will be ruined as we found out after arriving late Sunday night and just leaving everything on the floor till we were able to unpack ob Monday only to find out all the bags, my handbag and my daughters school bag which she had taken so she could revise for her exams all ended up very wet. Tin opener didn’t work abd the toaster burned the toast. No hairdryer in my he farmhouse so had to use the wall heater in the bathroom. Everything else was lovely.

The property

The Farmhouse was built in the 18th century and would have been around in Poldark times, in fact one of its tenants was a Mine Captain.

While retaining plenty of its traditional character with modern necessities it is an eclectic, comfortable cottage which looks out to sea on one side and country moorland on the other.

This is a heart-warming and homely base for friends and families alike to come and stay.

The cosy sitting room is truly inviting you to put your feet up at the end of the day, by the warmth of an electric wood burning stove and offering a TV with a DVD player - just perfect for those family nights in.

The kitchen/diner is dominated by its stunning Inglenook fireplace which hosts a wood burning stove, as well as an excellent range of appliances to make preparing those tasty home-cooked meals that bit easier.

Also on the ground floor lies the large family bathroom with an over bath shower.

The three bedrooms offer a choice of sleeping arrangements; a double, a twin and a single all on the first floor adopting pleasing views and charming layouts to give you a peaceful spot to get your sleep.

A fourth bedroom has been made into a snug/office where the children can play their games or you can catch up on your emails.

To the outside of your home-from-home, discover an enclosed, lawned garden, where you can sit and eat or just read.

The village is a short walk along a country lane where you can discover the delights of Pendeen - this friendly village hosts a choice of charming pubs, village store and fish and chip shop, and the Mining museum reminds you that this was once a industrial area far reaching out across the world.

The South West Coast Path is easily accessed by walkers and cyclists from this cottage passing through some astounding scenery towards Lands End or St Ives, which ever way you chose to go.

The amazing beaches of Sennen, and, Porthmear where you can learn to surf.

Carbis bay, Porthcurno and Marazion great for swimming to name but a few.

Our favourite beach Portheras which can be accessed by several routes.

Walkers and cyclists have premium access to the South West Coast Path, passing through some astounding scenery towards some wonderful tourist attractions including Land's End, St Ives and more.

Explore the delights of this idyllic region with your loved ones from this pleasant Coastal Farmhouse.
