Calartha Farm, of which Calartha Cottages are part, has been in the same family ownership for over a century.
Once a dairy farm it is now a peaceful place to stay.
Situated in a World Heritage Site on the Tin Coast, about ten miles west of St Ives, the cottages have far reaching sea and country views.
The South West Coast Path is within easy reach as well as Portheras Beach and the Penwith Moors with their archaeological history of standing stones and stone circles.
There is an excellent bus service with an open topped bus travelling around the West Penwith so you are able to leave your car and get almost anywhere.
Jenny's Cottage is an attractive 400 year old stone built cottage.
Cosy but surprisingly spacious, the cottage retains many traditional features.
On the ground floor there is a small but practical kitchen and a spacious lounge/diner with a large fireplace, wood burning stove and beamed ceiling.
Upstairs, the pretty bedroom is decorated in soft colours and has uninterrupted views over the fields to the sea on one side and beautiful country views on the other.
The lawned garden has garden furniture and sunny seating areas, an ideal spot for quiet afternoon reading or simply taking in the peaceful surroundings.

The charming village of Pendeen is situated on the Penwith Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding natural Beauty, in North West Cornwall. It has a handful of lovely pubs, convenience stores, pottery/gallery and a good fish & chip shop. There is also a wonderful lighthouse tucked away from the centre of the village, where you can marvel at the most spectacular sea views, stretching for miles. Perfect for exploring this lesser-known area of the county, there are so many fantastic things to see and do; from exploring the rugged coastline to pulling on your walking boots and criss-crossing the beautiful countryside, with public footpaths at every turn! The beaches in this section of Cornwall are fantastic and there are so many coastal villages and attractions that will keep you busy. Enjoy shopping in Penzance, discover hidden gems in St Ives' many harbour-front galleries, or find the perfect trinkets to take home in the novelty shops of Mousehole. The open-air Minack Theatre overlooking the stunning beach at Porthcurno should definitely go on the 'to visit' list, and you can also enjoy visiting the many filming locations of the BBC's, Poldark.
