  • "Really comfortable cottage about a mile from Pendeen Lighthouse and Boat Cove with access to lots of coastal walks."

Very rural location and yet within walking distance of a well stocked Spa shop in Pendeen and good local bus service to Penzance, St Ives etc.

  • "Excellent cottage and holiday, thank you."

It was peaceful and relaxing - quiet, dark at night, clean air- not like the pollution where I live! The thick stone walls kept cool from the heat of the day and I slept so well at night. A wonderful good sized garden with beautiful stone walls, and wildlife to watch. Footpaths from the house. Stunning beach nearby that you can get to by foot. Bliss!

  • "The new shower was a great improvement."

Also the internet reception in the living room was much better. However the double bed mattress was too firm for comfortable night sleep.

  • "Have been to The Old Barn on numerous occasions over the years."

It’s is a good base in a lovely location. The owner Mrs North always welcomes us and is very friendly and helpful, cannot fault the welcome. The cottage is a typical country barn. Has all the essentials, is comfortable and good value for the price you pay. It’s not like home but we don’t expect it to be. It’s in the countryside. As a family we love it. The garden is a bonus and the parking for 2 cars is good. You can sit outside for breakfast, you can sit outside in the evening with a G&T watching the sun go down. The village of Pendeen suits our needs. The locals are very nice and friendly. Sennen Cove, St Ives, Penzance are all very close. You can leave your car and catch a bus to all these places. For all these good points is why we have returned to this place so many times and will continue to do so in the future.

We had so many things to see and do on our doorstep too. The old barn was cosy and relaxing , exactly what was needed as a rest from hectic life.

  • "Old Barn brilliant and lady owner very nice."

Commented in Guest Book that a car turning area within Barn demise would be good (and feasible) and bathroom could do with brightening up - but these were very minor considering how nice the property was - and superbly situated for walks and touring. Very pleased.
