  • "The house is beautiful clean and comfortable."

The location couldn’t be more perfect, less than a two minute walk to a lovely beach with plenty of room and ideal for the children. I would definitely stay here again. My only slight complaint is that all the rubbish from the previous guests was still at the back of the house, but not in the garden, it was concealed in an area you wouldn’t go in, so didn’t bother us really and certainly didn’t detract from all the other lovely aspects of the house.

  • "Everything was perfect!"

! Just one improvement needed - some of the pillows are a bit lumpy! But that is a minor thing and everything else was fantastic! Would definitely stay there again.

  • "Lovely house well equipped, clean and excellent location."

Plenty of parking. Can be difficult to get out when people park opposite as the road is narrow. You can see and hear the sea which is perfect.

  • "The only thing of note is the directions stated to find the post office and that is no longer there."

It is now a cafe and shop. The place was absolutely amazing!

Hi there, it is a shop called The Post Office, which is detailed in our description! Thank you and glad you had an enjoyable time. Property Owner

  • "Amazing place to stay."

the place in general was really clean and spotless. the only problem we had was with the cooker we could only use the pots that they had provided us to use, however for the one week we did stay it was absolutely magnificent.

  • "A very comfortable, modern house in a new development."

The house is nicely and lovingly decorated throughout and feels like a proper home. The welcome supply was more than generous, thank you so much! Location is ideal, very close to a sandy beach which is great for swimming, watersports and just having a relaxing time. Costal path offering wonderful walking routes in both directions is close by. Convenience store with good selection is only steps away. Surf school/hire at the beach.

Dear Silke, Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We really appreciate it. You were our first ever guests. It meant a lot that you enjoyed Ocean View as much as we do as a family. It's a magical place. We hope to welcome you back again soon. Property Owner

About the location

PRAA SANDS

Marazion 4.5 miles ; Helston 6 miles ; Porthleven 5 miles

The village of Praa Sands sits on the south coast in between Helston and Marazion. Praa Sands is known for its mile-long sandy beach and excellent surfing conditions. There is a bar/restaurant overlooking the beach – the perfect spot for lunch with a view or sunset drinks. Praa Sands is also home to a Golf and Country Club, from where the most wonderful sea vista can be enjoyed whilst you play. Just inland from the beach is Pengersick Castle, the tower of which dates back to the 16th century. It is said that Pengersick is haunted, and that the ghost of a monk has been seen wandering the grounds! The house at Pengersick is rumoured to be the birth place of John Carter, the self styled King of Prussia and a tunnel which leads from the house to the beach was apparently once used by smugglers. There are supermarkets and other retail stores in Penzance (8 miles) and Helston (6 miles).
