Take a leisurely stroll into the village of Rock, where the local bakery is just around the corner.

Further down the village you can test your clubs out at the excellent St. Enodoc Golf Club with superb sea views, enjoy a good selection of watersports available including abseiling, water skiing and sailing and beachcombing the shores at the glorious Rock Beach.

Venture to the nearby town of Polzeath, where you will find the picturesque Polzeath Beach, well-known for its surfing, of which you can try your hand at with a surfing school nearby or you can relax with fresh fish and chips and watch the world go by.

Across the water via the Black Tor foot-ferry is the well-known harbour town of Padstow, home to the National Lobster Hatchery, where you can tour the conservation centre and even adopt your own hatchling, brush up on the local history at the Padstow Museum or enjoy a tour of the grand Prideaux Place, an impressive 16th century manor which houses art and antiques and also has its own vibrant grounds and deer park.

Padstow 1.5 miles via ferry; Polzeath 2.8 miles; Wadebridge 6.2 miles.

Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
