  • "Three of us and two dogs stayed here for a week in September and had a great time exploring the area."

Visiting many local places and also went to Port Issac. Many gardens and national trust places seen as well. Property was very spacious and dogs enjoyed it . The only thing was the field opposite was really unsuitable for the dogs and us to walk through. The old chapel had everything we needed. Host was great.

  • "The old chapel is a wonderfully situated gem in the heart of the Cornish countryside."

The area offers stunningly beautiful walks and views that are trully breath talking to behold. It's close to Fowey harbour where for a small fee you can enjoy a short ferry ride over to the harbour town is is utterly beautiful, with cute little boutique shops and lots of eateries to dine at. Our host Chris was more than helpful and make our stay as welcoming as possible. This property has history and beauty and if the walls to speak we would be enthralled, I'm sure with the stories it would have to tell. We spent our evenings by the log fire playing board games and watching films from the great selections provided. I was there with a elderly family member so we didn't cover all of the other things to do around that part of Cornwall but still we had a memorable time. perfect place for a family get away I wish it was longer.

  • "Beautiful property and super friendly helpful owner."

We had a great week there, thanks. Facilities only got 1/2 smiley face but through no fault of owners as property was as described. It was only because it was our first time away with our 14 month old boxer dog (who has rubbish recall at moment) and we didn't appreciate how much you need enclosed outside area which property doesn't have. There are lovely walks and field opposite but my dog had to be on lead all the time. Absolutely my fault for not reading description properly.

  • "We had the most wonderful time in the Old Chapel."

The owner was so friendly and available anytime needed. We found it was situated within easy driving distance of many beautiful places. The Eden Project for example was around 35/40 min drive away. The views of the surrounding countryside were beautiful. Especially as the sun set in the evenings. The house itself has many wonderful and original features and all the comforts you would need. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

  • "A great location for coastal or woodland walks."

The 2 ferries walk is definitely worth doing. Several gardens nearby - we enjoyed the Hidden Garden. Friendly, helpful host. The Old Chapel is an unusual & comfortable base.

  • "Beautiful place, very comfortable and clean."

The owner was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We took our young dog but as there is no garden we had to take him along the main road at the front of the house to the side lane each time he needed to go out. There is a field across the road but the entrance is a bit overgrown so I didn’t use this. Overall a beautiful house, very spacious, comfortable with gorgeous views across the countryside. Would recommend for a relaxing stay especially with the log fire and jacuzzi bath!

  • "An absolutely lovely stay in a gorgeous setting."

The chapel is spacious and well stocked with everything necessary to make happy holiday memories. The WiFi was a bit hit and miss, but that was fine for us as we were determined to keep off our phones. We also made an effort not to use our cars and Fowey became a regular haunt and enjoyed the coffee at Brown Sugar Cafe. The walk up the hill was a bit of a shock but after a week we soon got used to it. Loved our time at the chapel!!!!

  • "We arrived on a grey drizzling Friday evening to be met by Chris who welcomed us to the Old Chapel."

First impressions were very favourable a stunning property in the heart of Cornwall. The weather improved on Saturday and for the rest of the week we enjoyed blue skies. Chris was extremely friendly and helpful during our stay and we enjoyed our chats with him when we got back from exploring Cornwall at the end of the day. The property was clean and comfortable the en-suites didn’t disappoint either the only complaint we had and it’s a minor one was whilst looking at the beautiful sunsets in the west it was hard to watch the television due to being dazzled by the sun. It would be difficult to put up some kind of blinds and to be honest the sunsets were a small price to pay ………………………………………………….……..Jon Janet and Stan

We did have great evenings round the very sociable table upstairs playing games, thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home x

The owner was so friendly and helpful and even lit a log fire for us before we arrived. He was always on hand if we needed anything, but we didn't have to contact him at all. Thank you to the owner for allowing us to stay at the old chapel and making it such a great holiday.

The owner was very helpful . Well equipped and a unique place to stay , the views from the lounge were wonderful. If I had One suggestion get rid of the rug in lounge as it is a trip hazard and not needed as beautiful carpet there already .
