  • "The Lodge probably has the best position on the site."

Great to sit out on the patio and enjoy the sunset. The lodge was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • "We did a last minute get away for a few night and really enjoyed our stay!"

I was pleasantly surprised how well equipped the lodge it had everything you needed even down to dog treats which was such a nice touch. The site had an electrical fault due to high winds lucky for us we had just finished off doing our breakfast) even though it was out of the control of the owners they were easy to contact and updated us when they received updates. We definitely will be staying again.

  • "The lodge in our option had the best views, set in a peaceful and relaxing location."

The Sykes booking booking fee of £49 is scandalously high and unjustifiable. The actual site is tired, roads are unkept, not enough waste bins, and the amount of dog owners not clearing up after fouling is disturbing.

  • "We booked a last minute stay and were pleasantly surprised at how well equipped the lodge was."

The kitchen in particular had everything we needed for out short break away. The beds and sofas were comfortable. It was a perfect little get-away for us and we were happy to be able to take our little dog along with us too- treats and dog bowls were also provided as an extra bonus. The location is ideal with the beautiful busy town of Bude just a short drive away. Reaching other places such as Clovelly was also easy too. Val, the owner, was lovely and communication was excellent upon our arrival- we were made to feel very welcome. Overall, we had a lovely, enjoyable little stay and would return again in the future.

About the location

Bude 4 miles.

Kilkhampton is an historic Cornish village, 4 miles from the popular Victorian seaside resort of Bude, one of Cornwall’s premier holiday locations. With its old church, village shops and atmospheric village pubs, Kilkhampton is a lovely place to relax after a hard day exploring the stunning beaches and spectacular coastal scenery for which the area is famous. Bude’s beaches attract surfers from all over the country and when conditions are right you’d be hard pushed to find better surf. When the tide is out, miles of golden sand and hundreds of rock pools keep visitors occupied for hours. The South West Coast Path, and many other rights-of-way winding over the clifftops and through lush green fields looking out over the sea, make this area a haven for walkers and lovers of the open countryside. For those who prefer staying closer to home, a good shopping centre and a selection of pubs, two clubs and restaurants are on offer. Bude canal, a registered nature reserve, passes through the town, and rowing a boat along its calm waters or walking the towpath among the beautiful (and friendly) water fowl that live among the reeds is a great way to spend an hour or two. Within the area there are also 2 golf courses, an indoor swimming pool, bowling alley at the leisure centre. A perfect location for all that North Cornwall has to offer.
