  • "Property was fabulous - just as described and was a perfect base for our group for the week."

Clean, comfortable, warm and plenty of space for 8 adults. Great attention to detail in terms of kitchen utensils etc. Secure garden was much appreciated as our dog is a bit of an escapologist! Parking a little tight but no major problems. Construction works at the One Pentire development were a bit of a noise nuisance but I appreciate there’s nothing you can do about that. Overall hugely impressed with the property.

The large garden is a bonus, ideal when bringing the dog & to hang out your wetsuits! The host Nick is great and always on hand if you need anything. Can’t wait to visit again.

We could easily park 2 large kia's in front of the house. We walked to fistral beach with surf boards and body boards in a couple of minutes. The road is quiet and the house was easily enough space for our 2 families consisting of 4 adults, 4 teenagers and an 18 month old. Lots of nice touches such as some welcome bits and bobs, WiFi code and various instructions as well as great communication with the owner beforehand and also a quick text on the evening we arrived just to check all was ok, I would not hesitate on recommending and coming again.

The cottage was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The garden was a wonderful asset (although the weather meant we didn't enjoy it as much as we'd have liked) and the location is spot on - a few minutes on foot to the beach and about a 15-20 minute walk to Newquay town centre. The off road parking space was very welcome too. The communication and welcome from Nick was perfect and greatly appreciated as were the generous touches - a welcome pack and flowers. Ten out of ten.

Only one observation I have is that the lounge could do with additional seating. There are 2 sofas that sit 5 people and one puffet but an additional armchair would have been good especially as the property accommodates 8 people.

Hi Sarah So pleased you enjoyed the house what a fabulous week you had sunshine all week long hopefully you got plenty of beach time. The little welcome pack left from Nick the owner was a very nice touch. All in all a very nice place would defo book again. Just 1 neg: having a gardener knocking at the door on Monday morning to attend the garden and cut the grass, waking acouple of us up, as we were travelling though sunday night and arrived at 2:30am Monday. Think could have had a message to notify before hand or on the info letter left on the table that gardener could be calling at some point. Think it could have been done on the saturday change over day.

Well kept garden, lovely decor. Only minor issue was mirrors and glass doors hadn’t been cleaned and the towel quality and size were disappointing for the cost of the stay. Maybe vacuum in between sofa cushions too. We really did enjoy our stay would recommend Porth beach if you have little ones as it’s level and very safe. • "We had a lovely stay in this cottage, a welcomed break in these times."

The cottage is very near to Fistral beach, approx. 10 min walk, although that entrance has lot of steps to the beach with a cafe enroute. For anyone where steps are an issue, you can continue on the sandy path to the other end of the beach (probably 15-20 min walk) where there were some shops & restaurants, as well as the lifeguard station. The location was spot on for us - nothing like a beautiful beach scene to make you rewind!! The cottage was better than expected; very roomy, comfy, plenty of facilities, lovely garden space too. We thought many aspects were well thought out, there was a little utility at the back door with hooks on the wall and an additional washing machine & fridge. We didn't require these but for a large group or those surfing - ideal. We would definitely recommend a stay here.
