  • "We had a lovely stay here."

Ideal location & lots of space for 5 of us. We were grateful for the milk & biscuits on arrival, but hand soap in both the downstairs cloakroom & upstairs bathroom would have been appreciated. Our only issue all week was the access to the parking area…it is absolutely fine for a smaller cars, but for larger cars it’s probably not worth the stress! We didn’t actually need to use our car often, so we just parked elsewhere. Mevagissey has it all for a wonderful stay, and this lovely house was spot on & highly recommended.

Dear Sharon, I’m so glad that you enjoyed your stay. Yes, the angle to turn into the car park entrance takes a bit of getting used to. I have spoken to my cleaner and she says that she had left pump soap in both bathrooms and she is baffled. I can’t think who would’ve removed that so I’m looking into it. I hope that you would consider staying with us again one day. Our bookings will be going through Interhome from March next year. Thanking you for leaving us a lovely review. Hilary Property Owner

  • "My family and I would like to thank you for the most amazing stay."

We booked the cottage for 2 weeks. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and more, we were surprised to find a bathroom upstairs and a toilet downstairs which was not stated in the listing, but with a family of 5 this made mornings and bedtime sooooo much easier. The foosball table is a great touch as this gave us all hours of fun and laughter on an evening. This is perfectly situated very close to the harbour with a very handy ally cut through to get there. The host was very friendly and answered any questions we had. We will definitely be returning to mevagissy and would not hesitate booking this lovely very spacious cottage again. Thank you again for allowing us to make ourselves at home while on holiday, we all had a holiday we will never forget, ❤️

Dear Teresa We have only just realised that we had not submitted our response to your very lovely review of our cottage. I am so sorry for this and am so pleased that you enjoyed Mevagissey. We would love to have you to stay again and are in the process off adding another shower, dishwasher etc. to assist our larger parties. We have since named our cottage 'Porthilly'. Property Owner

  • "Lovely property with excellent location - couldnt really ask for more."

Only very slight issue from a dog owner point of view would be to fence off the strange access at the bottom of the garden with a gate for access if needed. Really enjoyed our stay - the property was just what we wanted. Many Thanks Rick Pepper

Thank you for your comments Rick ,I am so glad you enjoyed your stay, we will look into a bigger gate at the rear access , regards Hilary Property Owner

  • "Excellent property just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of the village and the harbour."

Well equipped kitchen. It is a great advantage to have parking for two cars in the centre of Mevagissey. Negotiation of the narrow streets takes care. The access to the car park is narrow and tricky, between two walls followed by a left turn into the car park. Wide cars could have problems. We managed ok with care. The Salamander Restaurant at the bottom of the street is excellent with exquisitely presented food. Booking essential. The Ship Inn has reasonably priced pub grub. A good day trip is by the ferry to Fowey.

Hi Patrick , thank you for your feedback,we are so glad you and the family had a great time. The Salamander is our favour too and yes pre booking is essential. Property Owner

  • "A little disappointed that there wasn't any kind of welcome pack, albeit a pint of milk."

Although the cottage was generally quite clean, it was feeling a be dated, there wasn't anything that made it feel cosy, the furnishings made it feel cold and empty. The kitchen units were a bit tired, beds were comfortable. Would consider booking with you again.

Hi Stephen, we are glad you enjoyed your holiday with us and welcome your appraisal of our cottage. We only acquired it in late March as a running business and will be making improvements as we go, so your comments are very valuable. We would love to see you again in the future. Best regards Hilary. Property Owner
