  • "The house was beautifully presented and very clean."

The house was in a great location only a minute's walk into the harbour. With the added benefit of parking we found the property perfect for our needs.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are so happy that you enjoyed our home, and Mevagissey as much as we do. We are very lucky to be working with the wonderful Chucky and Eva, who keep our home so lovely and clean. We hope to welcome you back again. Property Owner

  • "What a lovely place."

Very convenient for Mevagissey. Quiet and peaceful location. Exceptionally clean. Constant hot water and lovely and warm. Good Wi-fi - my husband could work uninterrupted all week. A couple more saucepans/serving dishes and large water jug would make life a little easier though. I was surprised that there were lots of plates and cereal bowls but only 2 serving dishes. Beautiful 1st floor bathroom but maybe you need to rethink the description of 2nd floor loo? Unfriendly neighbours behind. We had left the upper floor landing light on for our first 2 nights and apparently it shines into their bedroom … tricky. So I spent the rest of the week reminding our teenagers not turn it on at night.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that we were able to share our wonderful home with you. Thank you also for the excellent suggestions for adding more items to the kitchen, which we have now purchased and added for future visitors to use. We have replaced the bulbs on the landing chandelier with slightly lower wattage to prevent upsetting the neighbours. We will continue to monitor this. We purposely did not put a curtain up to this window to take advantage of the light streaming through on a sunny day. Best wishes, and hope to see you again soon. Property Owner

  • "My family and I had a wonderful stay at Beacon Lodge - both the house and its location are fabulous."

Well-equipped and beautifully furnished, the property has a welcoming and homely feel to it. Centrally situated within a few minutes’ walk from the shops, pubs, eateries and picturesque Mevagissey harbour, Beacon Lodge is exceptionally conveniently positioned. The generous private parking space adjacent to the house was very much appreciated and is something of a rarity in the heart of old and compact Mevagissey. The private upper decking/garden area at the back of the property is another bonus and proved to be the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet drink and a pasty! I would highly recommend Beacon Lodge and hope to return one day.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are very happy that you all enjoyed your stay at our home. We are very lucky, and spoilt to have so many great places to eat, drink and visit within easy reach, and only a stroll away. We are planning to add another parasol to the lower garden area, and an original Victorian iron fence and gate to the top of the car park area to enclose the rear garden at the top of the drive. Still leaving plenty of space for private parking of vehicles. We hope to see you again soon. Property Owner

  • "House is lovely."

Not suitable for anyone with any disability as indoor steps high instep. House is tastefully decorated. Chucky and Eva (house managers) very helpful

We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay with us, and are grateful for all feedback received. Unfortunately due to the house being a three story Victorian house, it may not be suitable to those who cannot negotiate stairs. However handrails are provided to help negotiate the stairs to the first and second floor bedroom and bathroom areas. Regards David Lodge Property Owner
