  • "We have just returned from a wonderful weeks stay at Coombe Cottage and cannot rate it enough!"

We felt right at home as soon as we parked up and opened the door. Straightforward key collection, and arrived to the twinkly fairy lights over the log burner and lit the fire and settled into this cosy haven for the week visiting friends and family. Plenty of space, and great layout for a family with thoughtful additions such as the stair gates and boardgames. The sofa really is as comfortable as it looks in the photos too! Loved the area, being tucked away in the countryside but only a few minutes drive into Perranporth. We explored nearby Chapel Porth, St Agnes, Crantock and Fistral beaches despite it being February and the kids paddled in the rock pools for hours. We also enjoyed a fantastic family meal at The Summer House down on Perranporth Beach which was a lovely treat. Hope to be back soon.

Thanks for such a lovely review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back anytime! Thanks Paul & Kelly Property Owner

  • "Fantastic property, great location and extremely cosy."

It’s very well equipped and all the Christmas extras were prefect, we really appreciated the welcome basket. The main living area was laid out well, the sofa and fire area was very inviting after a long walk along the beach. Great break, and very much recommended.

Hello Paul Thank you so much for your lovely review. We wanted it to be cosy and Christmassy for you. So glad you had a lovely break. Paul & Kelly Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful break at Coombe Cottage."

The property provided everything we needed and desired from location, comfort and space, to utensils, pans and fridge space! We came with my in-laws who hadn’t been to Cornwall for 45 years and it was wonderful to see them fall in love with it all over again with the cottage as our base. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we will certainly return!

Thanks for choosing our cottage. We are so glad you loved it as much as we do. You are welcome back at any time. Kind regards Kelly & Paul Property Owner

  • "The upstairs shower didn't stay hot enough, but the downstairs shower compensated for it."

Would have been lovely to have used the upstairs one though, as there was more space there. I also came home with a stiff neck as the pillows were so thick. They were lovely, I just wasn't used to them. Lovely to find the kitchen has underfloor heating! We had a lovely time and will look to come back at some point! :)

Thanks so much for your feedback. We hope that you enjoyed your stay overall. We have experienced a few teething problems with the hot water in the upstairs shower and are in the process of replacing the hot water cylinder asap to make sure we have a better capacity of hot water, so when you next return we will have plenty of hot water for your showers! Thanks Paul & Kelly Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful time at Coombe cottage and left a glowing report in the visitors book."

The property was fantastic, really cosy and we all enjoyed the log burner (including our beagle dog Ringo). Cornwall is beautiful and we fully intend to come back again and if Coombe cottage would have us we would love to stay again.

Thanks for your lovely feedback and so glad you have enjoyed our cottage. We would be glad to welcome you back at anytime! Kelly & Paul Property Owner

About the location

PERRANPORTH

Newquay 9 miles; Truro 9.5 miles.

Perranporth, a beautiful Cornish coastal town, lies in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s. Perranporth offers plenty of traditional pubs and shops, plus a classic bucket-and-spade beach that is lifeguarded in summer, overlooked by craggy rocks and a wonderful coastal path. Once known as the source of the finest tin, the community still retains reminders of the rich heritage with abandoned pump houses, mine shafts and workers’ cottages. The local Blue Hills Museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are both well worth a visit to understand the fascinating history of this coastal area. Further afield are the miles of sandy beaches at Crantock and Holywell Bay, and the breathtaking coastal walks around St Agnes, much of it owned by the National Trust. A perfect holiday base in Cornwall, with an abundance of activities to suit everyone.
