The property

This detached converted farm building is situated 2 miles from Perranporth and surrounded by countryside.

A stone built detached property with reverse level accommodation.

Once a busy working farm but now a peaceful holiday location which is separated from the farmhouse.

Enclosed courtyard with extensive views.

Ideal countryside retreat and ideal homestead for two.

On the ground floor is a carpeted double bedroom decorated in neutral tones and attractively arranged furniture and a bathroom with bath and shower over, basin and WC.

Stairs leading to first floor separate the kitchen from the sitting area.

The kitchen is well equipped to prepare meals which can be enjoyed at the dining table and the sitting area is comfortable and provides stunning views across the surrounding countryside.

The private courtyard has paved steps and gravel and is an ideal place to barbecue or sit and read whilst enjoying the country views.

There is off road parking beside the cottage.

The cottage is tucked away into a hillside in a quiet backwater just two miles from Perranporth where there is an excellent range of shops, cafés and restaurants.

There is a deer farm and lots of country walks right on the doorstep with long golden beaches within 2 miles.

It is centrally positioned so the north coast beaches are not too far away with their many coastal walks which guests can enjoy especially those with a dog.

Also the city of Truro is only a short drive away for those guests who find the architecture of the cathedral interesting or the shopping facilities.

This is a peaceful location although not isolated and perfect for explorers and couples who want to get away from it all.

About the location

Newquay 9 miles; Truro 9.5 miles.

Perranporth, a beautiful Cornish coastal town, lies in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s. Perranporth offers plenty of traditional pubs and shops, plus a classic bucket-and-spade beach that is lifeguarded in summer, overlooked by craggy rocks and a wonderful coastal path. Once known as the source of the finest tin, the community still retains reminders of the rich heritage with abandoned pump houses, mine shafts and workers’ cottages. The local Blue Hills Museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are both well worth a visit to understand the fascinating history of this coastal area. Further afield are the miles of sandy beaches at Crantock and Holywell Bay, and the breathtaking coastal walks around St Agnes, much of it owned by the National Trust. A perfect holiday base in Cornwall, with an abundance of activities to suit everyone.
