The setting is peaceful with an unparalleled view and the interior design is simple yet elegant and warm. Thank you for a wonderful home away from home.

  • "The cottage was lovely and in a quiet location."

Views were amazing. The garden to the property was beautiful, would love to go back in the summer to make the most of it. The walks to the beach and village very good. Cottage had everything we needed with a well equipped kitchen. Our family really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

  • "Lovely, spacious, well appointed barn conversion with fabulous views to St Michael's Mount."

The bedrooms were very comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. A 10 minute walk to the beach and popular cafe, with walks along the South West Coastal Path in both directions. The Victoria Inn in the village served excellent food. A great base to explore this area of Cornwall. All six of us had a very happy stay.

  • "If I was less honest, I would like to score this really low so others would be put off booking and I could keep coming back."

An Skyber is not at all "oversold". From views to facilities; it is a great place, view is outstanding, property is mere minutes from SW coast path/village/beach and pub; facilities provided include every convenience one could want (and more). It's possibly not best suited for less able bodied as facilities are on ground floor but this was no problem for us.

As described. But the extras in the kitchen and bathrooms made the stay even better. The views are marvellous. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

  • "A beautiful house and garden, with spectacular views down to the sea and St Michael's Mount."

Well equipped kitchen. I personally couldn't use the master bedroom as the bed was too soft and uncomfortable for my back problems, but my daughter and son-in-law found it to be ok for them. Beautiful annex room too. We had a small problem with ants in the master bathroom and entrance hall, but the caretaker replied and called around very promptly to deal with the problem. Highly recommended and I'm sure we will return!

  • "We had to replace a rotten light pull in one bathroom as it kept snapping."

The freezer was not turned on at the plug for some reason on our arrival meaning food placed inside did not freeze?? generally it was in good order, superb location

Thank you for your feedback. Light pulls of course do occasionally snap, and the previous guests must have inadvertently turned the freezer off. We are sorry about this and hope it did not disrupt your stay too much. Property Owner

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at An Skyber."

There was just one issue. We could not work out how to heat the upstairs radiators. On one night it was pretty cold upstairs and we did not want to use the log burner.

  • "Lovely location."

An skyber is a comfortable, welcoming property and we really enjoyed our stay. The views are beautiful. There was plenty of space for 3 couples. Lovely walks straight out of the front door. I found the mattress in master bedroom to be quite uncomfortable, which might be just me. It could do with being either renewed or have a lovely topper added. I put a folded blanket under the sheet to make it more more comfortable. The property was clean but not spotless. These were minor points though and I would certainly consider staying there again.

  • "Absolutely fantastic house, with a view to die for!"

5 minute walk to the beach, we found 3 different routes all ranging in gradient - the least is a sloping walk and brings you out at the village pub, from there it’s a road walk down the hill to be beach. Garden definitely needs some attention, bushes far too overgrown for comfort & looks different to original listing photos because of it. No shade in the garden (we went in the recent July heatwave!) and the parasol provided smelt so bad we left it where it was. House remained cool though & the shutters brilliant. I’d 100% return, if it not for the £1200 (yes, £1200) price hike for next summer ! Overall, it’s a fantastic house but does need some care & attention in places.

  • "Just came back from a week in An Skyber, not the best of weather but the property was comfortable to stay in on really bad days."

There was everything we needed and situated not far from Supermakets, Superb views from the lounge and kitchen, and wonderful garden to sit it. The walk to the beach is a bit of a struggle if you have walking difficulties. Steep hill I would recommend this property due to the space and facilities, ideal for a family with teenagers

We were lucky to arrive before Lockdown 2 and enjoyed our two week stay, the property is comfortable, warm, very well equipped, clean and has fantastic views, exactly as detailed. Lots of great walks from the door and within a 30 minute drive. Hope to return next year!

Clean and well equipped with great views and a lovely garden with seating areas. A 10 minute walk to the beautiful uncrowded beach (just make sure you check the tide times as the sandy beach disappears at high tide). This really is a hidden gem and I can't fault the property or the location.

  • "This was our third stay at An Skyber."

The views are stunning and it’s a great location for exploring the far end of Cornwall. The cottage is well appointed and has everything you could possibly need. Great quality towels & bedding too. My only comments would be that there were no instructions for the heating and the information manual needs some updates. But those are only minor things and I’d highly recommend a stay here - we will be back!

  • "We found the cottage met our needs."

Just the 2 of us, so we didn't need to use the annexe. The kitchen, dining & sitting area are on the upper floor, making the most of the great views & lots of space to sit outside. Enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere & pace of life here. We'd appreciate it if you could make the owners aware that there are a couple of floorboards that are sitting slightly proud & could do with screwing down. A dead squirrel under the outside chair did pong; we weren't brave enough to remove it ourselves. We meant to leave a note when we left, but forgot, apologies. Great location, easy access to the Coastal footpath & a short walk into the local village.

Very quiet and peaceful, well stocked kitchen and comfortable lounge area. Ideally placed for exploring coast between Penzance and Helston. Near coastal path and a ten minute walk into Perranuthnoe. Cosy if the weather is bad, lovely gardens to sit out if the weather is warm. We have no criticisms at all and would recommend An Skyber to our friends. We would love to go back again

  • "An Skyber was a beautiful property with amazing views over St Michaels Mount."

The facilities of two twin rooms, one within the annexe, and the double room suited our party perfectly. The entire property is furnished beautifully and every facility that you could need is available to use. The appliances and items in the kitchen were more than adequate and it was so lovely to have lovely large soft towels laid out for us. We were able to make use of the barbecue and enjoyed views over the coastline while doing so. The property had been prepared beautifully for our arrival and we were welcomed by scones, jam and clotted cream together with milk, teabags and coffee all provided. We had a wonderful holiday in a wonderful property.
