  • “It proved to be a most enjoyable experience staying at the 'Little Place'.”

Top marks go for efficient heating; very important in November and more or less set to go as I have at home and at a comfortable temperature (off at night for a better sleep). Top marks go for efficient heating; very important in November and more or less set to go as I have at home and at a comfortable temperature (off at night for a better sleep). We had all we needed to self cater, nothing obvious missing. Parking was straightforward. We stayed dry during what was a very wet week. Perranuthnoe as a location was ideal for our needs; not far off a major road and central to visits to Land's End, the Lizard peninsula and St Ives. The major towns of Penzance and even Falmouth close for visits. Being away each day doing the tourist thing meant that we never did try the beach cafe which looked to have a nice selection of food. We were surprised it was even open in the winter months, but it seems they have enough custom to be open from 10-4pm each day in the darkest months! There is a carpark at the beach too. One day, after a storm had passed, the small beach was inundated by surfers whom we had great fun watching and the cafe stayed open later to cater for them! One point of criticism is that the SW coast path is NOT easy to follow from Perranuthnoe to Marazion; we had thought that signage would be far better.
