  • “Amazing property, central for touring around Shower pressure wasn’t great but we muddled through and a shower mat would be helpful as can be quite slippery in the bath.”

Would definitely rebook this property again for a getaway.

The property

This well maintained converted barn is set within the hamlet of Penhallow, just two miles from beautiful Perranporth beach.

Set on one level this comfortable stone built property provides ideal accommodation for a couple looking to explore the nearby attractions on the glorious north Cornish Coast.

As part of this small semi-detached development of recently converted stone barns the front of Church View overlooks a communal lawned area with a dedicated parking bay close by as well as a wonderful view of the Parish Church, as the name suggests.

Situated on the edge of the courtyard the front door leads you into a welcoming living room with a Shaker style kitchen to one side and a cosy but practically planned lounge area with feature stone walls to the other.

The other side of the hall leads to the carpeted bedroom with feature stone wall and an adjoining fully tiled bathroom.

When you are ready to explore a wide choice of Atlantic coast beaches await your discovery and a range of activities from golf to water sports and cycle trails will add variety to your stay.

Cornwall's charismatic Cathedral city of Truro with its fine Georgian buildings, popular Theatre and quaint cobbled high streets lined with shops, restaurants and pubs lies only six miles away, whilst the scenic town of Newquay with its premier holiday attractions is seven miles.

About the location

Newquay 9 miles; Truro 9.5 miles.

Perranporth, a beautiful Cornish coastal town, lies in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s. Perranporth offers plenty of traditional pubs and shops, plus a classic bucket-and-spade beach that is lifeguarded in summer, overlooked by craggy rocks and a wonderful coastal path. Once known as the source of the finest tin, the community still retains reminders of the rich heritage with abandoned pump houses, mine shafts and workers’ cottages. The local Blue Hills Museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are both well worth a visit to understand the fascinating history of this coastal area. Further afield are the miles of sandy beaches at Crantock and Holywell Bay, and the breathtaking coastal walks around St Agnes, much of it owned by the National Trust. A perfect holiday base in Cornwall, with an abundance of activities to suit everyone.
