  • "Everything about the house is perfect."

Firstly the cleanliness is a credit to the housekeeper Kate, lots of fluffy towels and cleaning necessities. The accommodation is comfortable and very warm, we didn't need to light the logburner despite temperatures of near zero. The location with ample parking was ideal especially for us being around the corner from our daughter and family. St Agnes is a short stroll away with all you need in shops, butchers, bakery and eateries. We will definitely consider a stay in Beacon House the next time we are in the area.

Thank you Pamela for your lovely comments. Kate does indeed do an amazing job. I hope your daughter is recovering well and we would love you to come back again to Beacon House. Property Owner

  • "A beautiful house which provided us with everything we needed."

A short walk away is a local welcoming pub along with a butchers a bakers and minimart. Beacon house is very well situated if you want to visit other places such as Perranporth , st ives , Truro and many other great places. Home owners and home management were very helpful and always on hand if needed.

Thank you Grant for your lovely comments. Glad you had a good Christmas at Beacon House. Come back again soon Property Owner

  • "Beacon house is obviously owned by someone who really cares about the property."

It’s comfortable and has everything you need. The bed in the second bedroom is too small and would benefit from a king size. The house is kitted out with quite high end products so I’m surprised that the towels were thin and poor quality. Overall we all enjoyed our stay at Beacon house and would most certainly recommend it and the lovely village of St Agnes.

Thank you Julia for your comments. In response we have, this week, employed a different Laundry company so our linen will be of a higher standard. I am grateful to you for bringing this to our attention. As regards the king size bed, we felt the bedroom was too small to comfortably accommodate that size, hence the double bed. I am happy you enjoyed your visit. Regards Property Owner

  • "This is the second stay at beacon house, beautiful house in a good location."

The summer house is an added bonus since our last stay and is lovely to relax in, the only thing which would be better if there was a step in as it’s tricky with older people and children. And the only other small criticism would be the lawn maintenance, was overgrown. But wouldn’t hesitate to return again. Lovely place

  • "Beacon House is finished to a very high standard."

It is clean, bright, comfortable and well equipped, even down to the lovely smelling hand wash in every bathroom. It's location is excellent for the amenities in St Agnes and for walking, both from the door and for several stretches of the south west coast path. The garden room is a comfy retreat and perfect for enjoying the sun setting over the Beacon.

Thank you Jane for your lovely comments. I really appreciate it. So glad you had a lovely time and hope you come again. Jenny x Property Owner

  • "Very nice house in a nice location."

St. Agnes was lovely, but we were glad the house was just on the outside of it as the roads were a bit narrow. All facilities were good at the house, nice garden and seating area, especially in sunny weather. The location of the seats were in the shade most of the day which was good.

  • "Dear Jenny We had a great holiday staying at Beacon House and just love St Agnes!"

Milk in the fridge, Cornish biscuits, a selection of coffee and sugar was greatly appreciated for the start of our holiday. Just a couple of feedback points; we would have appreciated 2 toilet rolls being left in each bathroom and then any further to be purchased. My husband and I slept in the double bedroom and for night ventilation had our windows open. There were restrictors on both windows, that I appreciate are there for H&S, but a little note but each window explaining how these could be released would be very useful. This is only because if either of us needed to make a quick exit, via the windows, these would have been impossible to release. By day 6 we both worked out how to do this!

Hi there Susan, thank you for your feedback. So glad you enjoyed your stay at Beacon House. I have spoken to the housekeeper and she is going to leave 2 toilet rolls in future. I am sorry I wasnt aware of this. Regarding the restrictors, we have since purchased tower fans for each of the bedrooms to help with the heat at night. I am going to put a small note in each bedroom about releasing the restrictor in case of an emergency. Thank you for pointing this out as it is indeed something that needs to be addressed. Hope to see you back at Beacon House again in the future. Cheers Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely week and the weather was kind to us."

The house is fitted out for every comfort and we really enjoyed relaxing in the very comfy living room of an evening. I enjoyed watching the birds from the kitchen as they feasted on insects from the dry stone wall every morning. Our highlight was a Brimstone moth on the kitchen window late on our last night. Highly recommended and would return.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. So glad you enjoyed your holiday. Property Owner

  • "Beacon House was lovely, very homely, lovely quality finishings, super warm, clean and a great spot for exploring St Agnes and the surrounding coastal area."

We would recommend it. A couple of minor feedback points that I hope are helpful. On our welcome email it said milk and a starter pack of logs would be provided but actually neither were. Just a bit inconvenient after a long drive to have to pop out again for milk. The single bed wasn’t the most comfortable for an adult to sleep in, the mattress was quite uncomfortable. The master and double beds were great though. One other thing that slightly let a lovely property down was the weeds around the outside and the overgrown grass in the garden, given it was a sunny week it just looked a bit unkempt when we were out on the patio. I hope this is constructive, we have a holiday let ourselves so do know that it’s helpful to have feedback. Thank you though for a great stay.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Thank you for your feedback - I am glad you enjoyed the house. I have spoken to our housekeeper about the missing welcome pack and she is as in the dark about it as we are. On her notes it is ticked that a pack was left but obviously it wasnt. I can only apologise for the inconvenience this caused and hopefully we can remedy this error if you visit us again. I also apologise about the garden. We werent aware of how bad it was and have since had a meeting with our gardener who has agreed to check the garden more regularly in future. Property Owner

Within walking distance of shops. Lots to see and do in the area. Only things to improve the property would be an outside tap for wet outdoor kit, and a BBQ.

Hi Caroline. Just for your info, We have now had an outside tap fitted. Hope you are keeping well Regards Jenny Ellis Beacon House Property Owner

  • "A lovely property within easy walking distance to St Agnes."

Very comfortable beds and very quiet - perfect for a great night’s sleep. Some of the windows could do with privacy coverings as they are very close to a public walkway at the back of the property and it’s not always convenient to keep the curtains closed. Other than this the property provides everything you could need - we really enjoyed staying at Beacon House.

  • "We had a wonderful time at Beacon House."

This was a very stylish and comfortable house located on the edge of St. Agnes. It is possible to walk everywhere from the accommodation. A 10 minute walk and it is possible to reach the centre of the village to explore, for grocery store, bakery, butcher and friendly pubs. Trevaunance Cove, a surfing beach was one of our favourite short walks, taking about 30 minutes to reach the sandy bay with pubs and cafes to visit on the way. We recommend a stop at Cafe Q for a light lunch followed by their orange and pistachio cake. The Driftwood Spars was a great friendly pub for food and very cosy with a wood burning stove. The Miners Arms at Mithian for food, plenty of history and atmosphere. We explored many of the other beautiful beaches along the coast. Some of our favourites were Chapel Porth, Porthtowan, Constantine Bay, Harlyn Bay and Booley Beach. We loved everything about our visit to Beacon House and St. Agnes.
