  • "We all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, the house was lovely, it had everything we needed especially loved the kitchen due to having a tiny kitchen at home, all the facilities were good, it was very clean and close to everywhere we wanted to go, we had a fabulous holiday at Copper Hill House and would love to go back again one day."

We’re glad you had a lovely time. Hayle is probably one of Cornwall’s best kept secrets in that it’s a real locals town with lots of facilities and a gorgeous beach plus, as you say, close to lots of interesting places! Property Owner

  • "We spent a fabulous week exploring St Ives, Penzance and Lands end, Copper Hill house was an ideal base for this as it's a little removed from the madness but close enough for convenience, Hayle is big enough to have everything you need but small enough to still feel like you are on Holiday."

Copper Hill House is true to its description, the garden was excellent for the four legged member of our party to relax once once the day's activities were complete, the house is clean and well equipped ample room for 6 people and easy to get to.

Thanks so much for your positive feedback. You are right about Hayle. Property Owner

  • "Lovely bungalow, the rooms are decorated beautifully, very home from home vibes."

Light and airy. Great location, supermarkets etc very close by. Very clean, very well stocked up, everything you can think of!! Plenty of wardrobes/drawers. Bathrooms are lovely (just don’t use both showers at once!). Garden is lovely and spacious and lots of chairs available. I honestly cannot fault it. The only thing i would say, and not a negative, just a suggestion, would be to have a couple of fans, when i have stayed in cottages before they have provided fans, especially in the summer!

Thank you for your suggestion, it’s good have new ideas. Property Owner

  • "The bungalow was extremely well fitted with everything that you could possibly want."

The conservatory was really useful because the weather was not quite warm enough to sit outside at times. There is plenty of room in the bungalow with a lovely outlook over the estuary from the lounge and main bedroom. All in all excellent! We had one recommendation to make. Our friends who we went with needed the main bedroom because she is disabled and this made it much easier for them. The second bedroom has a double bed with a double quilt which we felt that it should have been a king sized bed. We could not get a good night’s sleep and so we slept apart and used the third bedroom as well. This did put a damper on the holiday overall because we do not sleep well on our own either!

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to learn that you didn’t think the double bed was big enough. When we replace the bed we’ll take your comments into consideration. It’s always useful to receive suggestions. Glad you enjoyed the views! Property Owner

  • "I have never been in such a well stocked kitchen it was amazing, and as somebody on a special diet grateful to be able to cook and have the equipment to do it."

Something on holiday I normally struggle with. Lots of lovely extra's as well, I loved the fact that the dog got thought about as well. This is the best holiday cottage I have ever stayed in and I have been doing holiday cottages for 40 yrs. So a Very big thank you and well done.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment we can cook with as it’s a family home, especially off season, as well as a holiday let. Glad you found what you needed and it helped you enjoy your holiday even more. Property Owner

  • "This has got to be the best holiday cottage we have stayed in, we had a great time, the bungalow was light, spacious, clean, had everything you wanted, I just didn’t want to leave."

Location was great, you could go for walks straight from the bungalow or jump in the car & not have to far to drive to find other places to walk or visit. Also the garden was completely secure for our dog…. I always book these cottages that say dogs are allowed & when I get there the gardens are not secure! Here was just perfect, it was so good I’ve already booked for next year. Communication with the owner was lovely & we had goodies on arrival which was a lovely touch, never had that before so thank you. Would highly recommend staying here.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We really appreciate what you have said and are so glad you had a lovely time. Property Owner

It is a lovely, well equipped holiday home, in a good location for exploring Cornwall. The owners had gone the extra mile with all the lovely extra touches throughout. The communication with the owners was faultless, they were extremely helpful and informative. We would definitely return.

Thank you very much for your positive feedback. We hope you do return. We're planning to finish painting the outside walls blue in March, weather permitting! Property Owner

  • "Absolutely stunning place, will deffinately be returning."

Also the extra set of keys is a great touch as not many places will leave them. Thankyou for the bits of milk, tea/coffee n biccies and bits, was an amazing touch and thoroughly enjoyed. Also made life a lot easier after driving for 6-7hrs so again thankyou. All in all couldn't be happier and have been telling anyone who'll listen about it.

Thanks for your fantastic feedback. We’ve put lots of work into the bungalow and its great for us to know that you’ve enjoyed it. We try to keep improving and our next plan is painting the outside - weather permitting! Property Owner

  • "Without doubt the best holiday home we have stayed in, we did not want to leave!"

Comfy beds, Great bedding, fluffy towels, lots of books about the local area, and plenty of games. The kitchen is packed with everything you would need to self cater, they really have thought of everything. Garden nice and big for our dog to wander around in, and I imagine in summer lovely to sit in and relax. Just fabulous, we hope to return later in the year.

Contact from the owner was useful - thank you. Plenty of room for off road parking, very fast Internet and close to local amenities. Hayle is so much quieter than neighbouring St Ives, but other towns are in easy reach.

About the location

HAYLE

St Ives 7 miles; Penzance 7.5 miles.

Hayle is in the far-flung south western corner of Cornwall and sits on an important RSPB wildlife estuary flowing out to the beautiful St Ives Bay, where visitors can enjoy three miles of golden sandy beaches, walks, history and wildlife. Hayle has plenty of activities out of the water too; Paradise Park is a wildlife park, home to some spectacular parrots, otters and red pandas. Hayle has a range of shops, restaurants and bars scattered around the estuary and harbour area. There are skittles and karting for the family, and for golfers, one of the best links golf courses in Cornwall is at Lelant, a mile out of Hayle. But the jewel of Hayle is the three miles of golden sandy beach, with fantastic surfing at Gwithian where there is a surf shop, lessons and hire of equipment. For the less energetic there are beach cafes where you can take in the views and watch the children play. As Hayle is centrally located you can easily access many other places by either public transport (there is a train station at Hayle) or driving. St. Ives is a short drive away where you can wander through the narrow streets, visit the art galleries or admire the colourful sub tropical gardens. St Ives harbour has its own small fishing fleet and there are plentiful boat trips skippered by locals keen to showcase the best that Cornwall has to offer, whether it be seal watching at Seal Island, a couple of hours' mackerel fishing or a relaxing trip to Godrevy Lighthouse. Within easy reach of Hayle is the Minack Theatre (35 mins), Falmouth Maritime Museum (40 mins), Eden Project (40 mins), St. Michael’s Mount (15 mins) and many other fantastic tourist attractions for dry or wet days.
