30pm. They thought of everything, drinks, scones, sweets, flowers, chocolates, dog biscuits, breakfast and even a birthday cake for my 50th .... amazing!!! Very comfortable, clean, beautifully presented cottage. It had everything we needed even kitchen roll and washing up sponge. It is close to lots of pubs, take-aways, restaurants, shops etc. but was quiet and peaceful with the beach being only minutes away. We felt very relaxed. We couldn't have picked a better location or cottage. It was just magnificent and we'd definitely go back if we were staying in the area again.

Believe me you will not be disappointed, superb accommodation with modern facilities, has off road parking, and is also very comfortable and cosy. The Hideaway is extremely well presented, very clean throughout, and the owners Jo and Jonathan provide a more than generous welcome pack. The Hideaway is also close to excellent local facilities, the towans, beaches, local shops, supermarkets, restaurants and has a pub directly opposite. If you want to venture further by car, this is no issue as the A30 and local routes are on your doorstep. Having visited Cornwall many times over the years, this is our favourite area to stay, there is so much to see and do and we have no hesitation in recommending the Hideaway as your place to stay. We will definitely be rebooking for next year and the years after. Thank you Jo & Jonathan & Cornwall for another great holiday. Pauline, Ray & Holly

It was my husbands birthday, and there was a birthday banner, a bottle of bubbly, cake and scones waiting for us on our arrival. The hideaway was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Jo supplied a map with details of walks, places to eat etc. We really enjoyed our stay. The only negative thing I could say was because on COVID the property had to undergo a deep clean, we could therefore only get into the property at 5.30pm, but had to vacate at 9.30am on the day of our departure. Obviously I understand this has to be done, but maybe a team of cleaners could be brought in so the turnaround would be faster.

To name but a few things,we arrived to find Jo the owner waiting to greet us,what an absolutely lovely lady. We were shown around and taken through how everything worked. There is nothing you need as everything has been thought of for a wonderful holiday. It truly is 5 star as far as we are concerned. Beautifully decorated and furnished to the highest standards, but also with comfort in mind. There was a lovely cream tea waiting for us plus freshly baked bread, fresh buns, and butter, milk, tea, coffee, sugar. And if that wasn't enough there was also a bottle of bubbly and a box of clotted cream fudge. Our dog Pippa had been catered for to with her own lovely bed and blanket plus towels. There were treats for her and her own dog bowls with her name on. Jo and Jonathan definitely go above and beyond the extra mile. Oh and in case we were hungry and hadn't had time to shop, there was even a meal in the freezer for us. You are very private and have a beautiful garden to use,and dogs are completely safe to have a wonder outside. Where The Hideaway is situated is perfect to visit the surrounding areas, the beaches, the towns and villages, there is an Asda, Lydl, you can walk to,also a Mark's and Spencer, Boots, there are abundant local shops in Hayle.and don't go home without trying Philps cornish pasties, they are devine. We shall return next year without a doubt, and stay at The Hideaway. It's a slice of Cornish Heaven you would not want to miss. So Jo and Jonathan many thanks to you both, and Sykes many thanks without you we would not have found The Hideaway.

The owners Jo and Jonathan are beyond welcoming and helpful from initial booking through to the end of our stay. From the delicious treats, welcoming and informative "tour", concerns that our needs were being met, were more in line with what we'd expect from a high end hotel, rather than a holiday cottage. We holidayed as a couple, with our 2 dogs, and they were made wholly welcome too. Even to having their own named bowls, a nice touch. The Hideaway is superbly equipped, and had everything we could possibly have needed. Well situated too, Phillack is on the edge of scenic dunes and squeaky clean beaches, and there's a great little pub directly opposite. Being well down in the peninsula, you don't have to travel far to find more jaw droppingly beautiful beaches, magical woodland gardens, scenic Cornish towns. Please have us all again. Really lovely location we visited every beach within a 30 mile radius during the week and were blown away. Only down side which is small, it’s a ground floor flat and the people upstairs were very loud, so sadly we slept less on holiday than at home, For the location, the house and everything inside we cannot fault it ❤️❤️

As advised by the owner on your arrival, she would have been happy to contact the tenants above had she known they were causing a disruption to your stay; the above tenants are currently in the process of moving which could account for the noise. About the location

St Ives 7 miles; Penzance 7.5 miles.

Hayle is in the far-flung south western corner of Cornwall and sits on an important RSPB wildlife estuary flowing out to the beautiful St Ives Bay, where visitors can enjoy three miles of golden sandy beaches, walks, history and wildlife. Hayle has plenty of activities out of the water too; Paradise Park is a wildlife park, home to some spectacular parrots, otters and red pandas. Hayle has a range of shops, restaurants and bars scattered around the estuary and harbour area. There are skittles and karting for the family, and for golfers, one of the best links golf courses in Cornwall is at Lelant, a mile out of Hayle. But the jewel of Hayle is the three miles of golden sandy beach, with fantastic surfing at Gwithian where there is a surf shop, lessons and hire of equipment. For the less energetic there are beach cafes where you can take in the views and watch the children play. As Hayle is centrally located you can easily access many other places by either public transport (there is a train station at Hayle) or driving. St. Ives is a short drive away where you can wander through the narrow streets, visit the art galleries or admire the colourful sub tropical gardens. St Ives harbour has its own small fishing fleet and there are plentiful boat trips skippered by locals keen to showcase the best that Cornwall has to offer, whether it be seal watching at Seal Island, a couple of hours' mackerel fishing or a relaxing trip to Godrevy Lighthouse. Within easy reach of Hayle is the Minack Theatre (35 mins), Falmouth Maritime Museum (40 mins), Eden Project (40 mins), St. Michael’s Mount (15 mins) and many other fantastic tourist attractions for dry or wet days.
