  • "Hot water pressure still annoyingly slow."

Been here 3 times in the past 5 years and this issue persists. Are there any plans to remedy it? Regulation of hot water in the bathrooms also temperamental. One or two things in need of maintenance, in particular faulty blind in en suite bedroom, electrical socket under window in same bedroom not working and couldn't tell if the hot water boost was working due to faulty lcd screen. Other than those, we had an enjoyable week made better by settled weather, and those views never disappoint!

  • "Unquestionably superbly location."

Comfortable, but cold on arrival and with the main heating being Night store electric theatres, slow to warm up, A fan heater did help. Some of the lighting, not working. In particular, one of the two lights in the kitchen area not working, so that room was dark. The check out itime of 0900 is far too early and placed a strain on the last few hours in the property. Particularly as the cleaner was outside by 0850 . The same applies of the late check in of 4pm. More normal times are 3pm and 10pm The TV set uo was complicated and not easy to operate. However, difficult to beat for location, once having negotiated the narrow road in.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, we are pleased that you enjoyed the superb location at Apartment 66. The lighting issue has since been resolved and an information folder can found in the property. Property Owner

The view is awesome. We are Plymouthians by birth and live in wales. This sea and area was our playground when young until when we left in 1986 aged 27. We never knew what we had as it was the norm ! Coming back brought all the amazing memories back. We will return to this apartment for sure. Thanks to you all and Sue the housekeeper. Thanks, Kim & Clive.

A fair walk to anywhere which was fine for us, but not if you have mobility problems or young children too old for a push chair but too young to walk far. Apartment OK, but in need of a little TLC in some places. You're paying for the view.

Sitting on the balcony reminded us of being on a cruise ship balcony as the sea was so close - it was perfect! Well equipped kitchen and very clean throughout. We walked from the apartment along the coastal paths every day, so didn't need to use our car at all. We would definitely recommend the apartment and would love to stay again!

  • "Let’s start by saying this place is all about the location and stunning sea views."

It’s a little awkward getting to places because of it’s unique location but that’s not a big deal. That flat itself is clean but basic and looking a little tired. Beds were comfy and plenty of storage for clothes. The main drawback though is the shocking water pressure. It takes between 1hr and 2hrs to fill the bath and that’s no exaggeration. The shower is either scalding hot or freezing cold! I don’t believe that they couldn’t invest in a water pressure pump to solve this problem. I just think for a 1 week stay costing over £1400 you should expect to have decent bath and shower! Tony Carter 01/08/21 to 08/08/21

Thanks for your feedback, Fort Picklecombe has its own water supply and as the apartment is on the top floor the water has a long way to travel. We have been unable to find an issue with the shower and have had no similar reports regarding this. Property Owner

  • "Hot water pressure can be an issue for some."

Fort Picklecombe has its own water supply. The apartment is on the top floor and as such the water has a long way to travel. One can get around the problem by using a kettle to top up sinks and baths. There is no such issue with the shower supply.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay at Apartment 66, though if you're a light sleeper and the sea is choppy don't expect a quiet time!"

The bedroom windows have kind of lost all sound-reduction, but fortunately it's a very quiet complex so it's not too much of an issue. We were very pleased to find a Sky Q box which was a plus, though the telly itself has seen better days and could do with an upgrade. Obviously, the sea views are amazing. Overall we would certainly stay there again.

  • "View was brilliant."

Kitchen was well equipped for self catering. Beds etc. were comfortable. Had a lovely time. Only minor negative was the main bathroom shower, pressure. Difficult to find a good balance between temperature and pressure. Worked well enough for me with short hair and the ensuite shower was good, so it's only a minor one. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

We watched the ships sailing in and out of the Plymouth sound. The only thing to be aware of is the narrow lanes getting in and out. We had a lovely walk over to Cawsand and the craft centre at Mount Edgecombe is to recommended. We have been to Fort Picklecombe 6 times so that says it all.

BUT Parking spaces far too small in view of modern car sizes and the insertion of lockers etc in the parking spaces, making vehicles stick out over the allotted space. Spaces are for cars not convenience parking of anything else, and a car. The shower in the second bathroom is a nightmare and needs replacing with one that is user friendly ! The water pressures need boosting.

If you like watching any type of marine transport this is the place, bring your binoculars. It is a great pity that there is not a ready supply of hot water. The temperature on the immersion heater needs adjusting. It would be impossible to have a bath. To make it worse the showers don't deliver a good flow of water. Helpful Holidays exceeded our expectations but the apartment failed to meet expectations due to the problem with hot water during one of the coldest weeks of the winter.

Binoculars are essential here as there is so much fascinating shipping activity, possibly dolphins, certainly seals and cormorants to observe.

A perfect retreat for couples or small family.

Walk through from an outer hall with plenty of room for coats, boots and surfboards to an open-plan living/dining room and galley kitchen all with those amazing views.

Step through the patio doors to the balcony and gaze at the panoramic view from Plymouth in the east and along the Cornish coast in the west.

There are two double bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and one with en suite shower-room, both with views over the well ordered gardens; family bathroom.

A wonderful place for walking, daydreaming and relaxing.

A five minute walk from the Coastal Path or to Mount Edgecumbe ParkÂ’s 800 acre estate.

Excellent pubs in the pretty villages of nearby Kingsand and Cawsand.

Why not catch the pedestrian ferry from nearby Cremyll to Plymouth and explore its historic waterfront.
