The cottage

Devoran 1 mile.

Nestled on the banks of Restronguet Creek, enjoying beautiful views across the water and set behind its own, large private driveway near the Cornish village of Feock, is Pandora Cottage.

The cottage is located opposite Point quay which has its own slipway for launching small boats, canoes and paddle boards giving great access to the creek.

Swimming is available from the quay at high water.

This two-bedroom, semi-detached holiday home rests on a tranquil lane and is ideal for touring the many attractions of this beautiful region of Cornwall.

Feel welcomed into the bright and airy kitchen, which makes a lovely space for socialising at the dining table as the aromas of a delicious homemade dinner fill the room and you crack open a bottle of wine to celebrate a special occasion.

The dual-aspect windows benefit the wonderful views as the tri-folding doors frame the pretty garden to the rear, allowing you to enjoy the outdoor space all-year-round.

Exposed beams add character to the interior, while the sleek worktops and stylish kitchen appliances assist you with all the home cooking.

Relax into your evening in the cosy, cottage-style sitting room and warm your feet by the log burning stove after a long day of walking, tune into the TV and take in the lovely surroundings.

There are two bedrooms resting on the first floor, both king-size doubles, the front bedroom boasting views of the shoreline out of two windows, while the rear bedroom has zip/link beds for flexibility.

You can indulge a lovely warm soak in the bathtub before heading to bed or wake up to a refreshing shower, the bathroom is well-appointed for both and is rather spacious.

Long summer evenings will encourage you to dine alfresco on the patio, where you can listen to the pleasant sounds of nature and plan further adventures in the area.

Two pubs are within walking distance; the Old Quay Inn, a pleasant walk along the Creekside to Devoran, and the Punch Bowl and Ladle in Penelewey whilst the well renowned Pandora Inn on the other side of Restronguet Creek can be reached by a small boat or canoe.

The nearby village of Carnon Downs supplies you with a local shop and post office with Killiow golf course three miles away for any golfing enthusiasts looking to escape for an afternoon.

Sailing boats, canoes and paddle boards can be hired from Loe Beach Water Sports – a pleasant 30 minute walk or 5 minutes by car.

The city of Truro and the popular town of Falmouth are within easy reach by car as is the north and south coastline with its sandy beaches, ideal for those wishing to surf or walk the coast path.

Cornwall’s only city, Truro has a magnificent cathedral, the Royal Cornwall Museum, the Hall for Cornwall, which is a theatre and concert venue, as well as a number of shops, pubs and restaurants.

In Falmouth you will find a natural harbour - the third largest in the world.

Here you will find boat trips up the Carrick Roads, safe beaches, the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle, which was built by Henry VIII and is the town’s most popular attraction.

Fans of classic cars will enjoy a visit to Perranwell Station which gives you the opportunity to hire a Morgan car for the day.

Also nearby in the Bissoe Valley is Bissoe Bike Hire where you can hire a bike and enjoy the sights of the old mining works and beautiful wooded valleys as you cycle coast to coast from Devoran to Portreath or just enjoy a snack in the café.

For garden lovers, there is not only The Lost Gardens of Heligan, but Trelissick, Trebah and Glendurgan, all of which are nearby.

A short trip across the King Harry Ferry will take you to St Mawes and the beautiful Roseland Peninsular which is well worth a visit.

With the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and Land’s End within driving distance makes Pandora Cottage a convenient base for exploring this part of Cornwall.

This is just the getaway you have been waiting for.
